I am thinking about how unsettling I find the wow reaction. I never know how to take it and I always always find myself overthinking it.

I personally use it as a shock. Like in your case it is probably because that is some serious weight you are often holding up.

This is true. I think what gets me is wow on a photo. I rarely read it as wow, that's great. My mind always first thinks, why wow? Was it shocking in some way? I can remind myself that wow is also used as a positive but that's never my first thought. I'm trying to retrain my brain.

I use that emoji all the time. I actually physically make that face all the time. For me, its just like a smart-ass/joking kind of vibe. I think it says, “I know I'm sexy but if you think its gross or offensive, then fuck off.”
