just got a call from my step father, my grandfather is in hospice. sounds like he is ready to go, i hope it happens quickly for him. he isnt on morphine or anything yet, but it sounds like it might not be long. its ok, he is 90 or 95? i dont even remember...grandma passed away 10 years ago, she had parkinsons for a long time...i spoke at her memorial...i dont see death as a bad thing or even a sad thing. i just wish we could all close our eyes when were ready and take the pain away.

It's never easy and timing is always unknown but when you reach an age where maybe your ready and it's for the better it should not be a bad thing or sad thing just a celebration of a long life well lived. My Dad passed away at 90 too, I think everyday of how much he saw and enjoyed in his lifetime.
