What are your favorite TV shows?

Is anyone else watching Once Upon a Time? Holy crappola! I did not see the latest plot twists coming AT ALL.

I didn't get into the whole Lost thing, but seeing as it's the same writers, I now understand how so many people got hooked.

Two new shows that have caught our attention are Awake which started two weeks ago, and A Gifted Man.

Awake is about a cop who get into a car wreck with his wife and teen son and one of them dies, but which one? When he's "awake" he's with his wife and his son was killed. When he's "asleep" he's with his son and the wife was killed. Again, he's a cop, and in each reality he's solving cases with similarities to the alternate reality.

A Gifted Man is about a talented brain surgeon with his own hospital and doing cutting edge work. He "inherited" he ex-wife's free clinic when she was tragically killed by a hit and run driver. She "haunts" him, which is an interesting twist.

Oh, another one that just came to mind is The Finder. It's hard to describe, but basically it's about a savant "detective", but he's not a detective, he just has an innate ability to find people and things. Brought to you by the minds that bring you Bones, another excellent show.

One of the things that we've been noticing of late is the sloppy, lazy, and flat out insulting story lines and writing in today's television. Shows that were once good, or at least passable have become completely unwatchable because they insult the viewer's intelligence. Castle was a favorite - no more. Rizoli and Isles was a mediocre show, but great cast, unfortunately, the writers were one trick ponies.

Big-time love for The Good Wife and Person of Interest, both of which just got early renewals for next season! \o/

Also loving Community, 30 Rock, Archer, and Castle with an unconditional love.

I'm on the fourth season of True Blood. Amazing show and it's one of my all time favorites. Get your hands on it if you haven't already.

Walking Dead is really good.

I've recently started watching Missing, on ABC, mainly because Ashely Judd is on it. Not a bad show. A tad unrealistic, even compared to hollywood movies, but it's a fun show so far. It's a lot like the movie Taken but less believable...lol If you enjoyed that movie, you'll problably enjoy this show.

I don't know - I've gotten kind of meh about it. I liked the first two seasons because they stayed relatively true to the books. Now - they've gone into all sorts of tangents. Interestingly enough, my honey says he read an interview with Charlaine Harris (author of the Sookie books) about where the writers have taken her characters. Apparently, she doesn't mind at all and says they've cooked up story lines she'd never have thought of. I'll be interested to see what affect, if any, the happenings on the show have on future book plots.

HGTV - House Hunters and others. Would love to own a house someday instead of my condo.
