What feeds your soul?

WFMS
Walking into my garden this afternoon & seeing that I have a "mess"(all you southerners know what I mean :) ) of yellow squash...Mmmm Good!
and the last of my peas...(sent those home with my son for his daughter who just started on veggies) tomorrow I'll pull those peas up & plant another row or 2 of green beans for late summer

Hmm...

1. My two blankets - Handmade by my mother and the best feeling possible when waking up in the morning.

2. Accomplishment - Knowing I did something well and it made a difference.

3. 'Those' moments - Hard to describe really because they can happen at anytime, but usually it seems like everything around me slows down and things just take a turn for the surreal. I think they only happen when I'm not stressed...so it has been quite some time since that has occurred.

4. Being in the presence of the few that I trust and love - If you can count on one hand the number of true friends you have made in a lifetime, that is more than many can claim. My ex-gf is one of those people, and even though we have gone seperate ways...I love being close to her. In fact, it is the only regret I have come across in being alive for 21 years. My 'Chasing Amy'...

5. The look of realization on a person's face...to see the light turn on.

6. Inspirational music/movies/tv - West Wing gave me a few of those.

7. Moments of complete isolation - a chance to gain perspective.

"If you never want to cause waves: say nothing, do nothing, be nothing..."

- knowing how much he truly cares for me and that he is willing to try to make the distance work
- starting a new job soon that's in the field I went to college for

Finishing a book. It`s been quite awhile, thank you my friend for that little push. :rose:

Talking to my best friend again. I missed him so very much.

Being able to enjoy the rain and weather we are getting even though it may be too much.

Anticipating and waiting breathelessly for the days to come...

Can anyone tell me what happened to Sheath? She has dissappeared and was just wondering...

Finally being able to sign the closing paperwork for our house, and knowing that they keys will be in my hand by this evening.

ps - you may not see much of me over the next month or so, while we do improvements, move, etc.

WFMS...

* I suppose life in general feeds my soul. The ups and downs and in betweens. I was given a gift the other day, one I never expected to receive in my life. I know I will treasure it always. It took a long time and a lot of hard work just to be in the position to receive this gift and it was all worth it.

That I worked to free my heart from chains was then met with physical chains that cannot be unlocked is so ironic, but life does that sometime. I'm glad I was able to breathe freer for a moment or two.

* Friends with pompoms! :rose:

Walking on the beach every morning (when there's not a hurricane looming) and seeing what gifts Nature has left for me... the tracks of a nesting sea turtle... a small flock of terns resting on the shore... an osprey rising from the sea with a meal in his talons... a pod of dolphin 20 feet out rushing and catching fish.... peilicans gliding in low and fast over the waves like stealth fighters... Man o'war birds hanging in the morning breeze like big black kites...

Or working in my garden and watching the tiny lizards go after the insects I disturb when I weed, or watching the bees and butterfiles feed from the flowers I planted just for them, seeing a black racer sunning on a stepping stone and showing no fear of me.
