What feeds your soul?

sitting in the front seat of the bus on a dusty and dangerous mountain road, close to someone i care for, chewing some coca leaves for the altitude or just for fun, and seeing how the vegetation changes from somewhat jungle to almost puna... and in the background some snowcapped mountains...

Planning a surprise birthday bash for my husband, knowing that I'll actually be able to keep it a secret this time, and that I'm finally overcoming my social anxiety.

My 31/2 yo quoting Wallace and Grommit at breakfast.
"Cracking good toast, this."
I'm sure one day his "cr" will stop sounding like "fu"

waving to the wind

*dietcokespew* ahahaha!

Last night I felt one of my best friends' babies kick from inside her womb... a first for me. I told her, "Great, your kid's already beating me up!" :)

It really was. I have no desire to have children of my own, but the whole concept of pregnancy still fascinates me. I've never had someone close to me that was pregnant, and it's a lot of fun watching my friend and her hubby go through it.

I was sooo scared when I went in during the first pregnancy to the doc cause I hadn't felt the child move inside me yet.

This visit was the heartbeat visit and I cried so hard. The doctor got scared! LOL. Surely others must cry then too. I was just relieved to hear that strong little heart beating.

Later? My husband would see her little footie pushing on my tummy? He'd reach over and grab it. She would pull it back in and then wait a minute. Then she'd push it back out. They would play like that for hours a night.

When he'd come home? And long story but he wasn't my husband then and biologically she wasn't his though she emotionally and legally is now. Anyway he'd come home, she jump around inside me until he got his guitar and played for her. Then she would calm down.

She would also try to punt the cats and anything else like the remote off my tummy.

If I was at a concert or music was playing? She would keep the beat. She was a very interative embryo.

My son was totally different. He was like, "Dude I don't care what y'all are doing out there I got my own sweet crib in here."

LMAO.

Awwww. . .

The first time that my husband felt our little one kick, he cried. It was my third child and his first, and it was really neat because, while I had the "been there, done that" attitude, he was experiencing pregnancy and childbirth for the first time.

The emotional connection can be stronger than the biological one. In my opinion, anyway. :)

WFMS today. . .

Trying something new with my husband. And, no, it had nothing to do with sex! :D

I so enjoy this thread... it sure can be a smorgasbord for the soul.

WFMS...

* Hearing the voice of a loved friend. He doesn't know how much hearing his voice meant to me, I didn't realize it until after - I'll have to tell him how much I appreciate him in my life. Another soul feeder was that he was able to share some news that causes every parent's heart to skip a beat - it meant a lot to me and he knows I'll keep his child in my prayers.

I'm smiling here because I'm am just now realizing - no, feeling, that the love I have for him just became deeper. Love is good, all kinds of love.

* Sending a note to a friend hoping they understand what I was trying to say, which is that I love them and value their friendship. A lot!

* Indulging in some peppermint stick ice cream!

Auntie bobsgirl loves to get sloppy hugs from her 1 year-old niece. She's a little bundle of energy like a Quidditch ball (for you Harry Potter fans), but when she puts her little head on my shoulder, I melt.

WFMS. . .

Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for a weekend vacation with a few of my friends. It's the first time since 2001, aside from when I was in the hospital giving birth, that I've been away from all of the kids for an extended period. I'm gonna miss them, but I'm really looking forward to the "me" time. :)

soul needs feeding
lost
wandering in the dark
show me the way
lead me to the light

help me through
this darkness
that has become
my life ...

so many troubles
many nights of want
desires running rampit
nowhere ... to run

only a dream
of him ... me
one day
one hope
us ... one ~

On-line backing, so you know VERY quickly WTF is going on with the account! ... granted, doesn't change the fact there ain't a whole lot in there, but at least I know where it's going! :D :D

slow easy music, when the headache is blaring

time to breathe through a fearsome Bang

serenity to overcome ... through to the other side ~

:(

WFMS...

* The neatest pm last night from a friend that gave me such great advice that it brought tears and smiles at the same time. That is such a nice gift. Thank you Den. :rose:

* A meeting this morning that was comical in the oddest of ways.

* While it isn't really a soul feeder, my A/C keeps me cool which keeps me from getting cranky which means I can be pleasant to those that must encounter me during these hot icky days.

:rose:

All I know is my soul def. needs to be fed.
Writers block for over a week.
Headaches, and such a willing spirit.
No go ... Grrr.

So here is my plan:

Long walks at sunset
Slow foot slide with the beaches tide
Long slow kisses that never end
Slow sensual lovemaking ... s l o w
Deep mind blowing sex ...
bounces off tha wall and reverberates all through the house

Reading poetry till the sun comes up
Slow sexy music that permiates all the way to the soul ... sultry
To be * given * a bubble bath
To * give * a bubble bath ... candles, massage included

Thinking this would be a very nice start ... whatcha think?

:)

Writing bug hit like a lightening bolt this week. EIGHT articles posted on my website and finished my short-story/prelude thingy for my novel! :nana: :cathappy: :D

... now just wish I had a lap-stop so I could write ALLthe time. Oh well, step by step, bird by bird.

Ohhhh Congrats ~!!! :D
I envy you at this point. Sometimes ya just wanna stick your head in the sand, and let it all pass by. I had the same thing happen to me 3 weeks ago. I could not stop. Then when I did ... that was it. Very annoying ...
Again Congrats my Friend ~ :nana:

:D

A baby's giggle (I don't have kids, I'm an infant teacher.)

The laughter when you realize (and don't care) how rediculous you must look trying to make a baby giggle

The look on a baby's face when they see you walk into the room and you realize that they recognize (and love) you

Good music listened to in the dark

My bird saying "Hello" when I come home from a crazy day

My family

My BF doing something nice because he knows I had a crazy day

Animals; watching them, being with them

Reading

Wind; a windy night on the beach, driving with the top down on the interstate, sitting right out front on a fast boat, just feeling the wind

Walking barefoot in a downpour when I know there's a hot shower waiting for me

Massages that lead into slow, sensual sex

Cuddling

Talking with a friend who understands
