WFMS...

* Music! Finally having and wanting music back in my home. Sometime last year my system had a fight with lightning I guess that resulted in an ugly hiss. At the time my mood was varing colors of blue and music took a hit.

Tonight I purchased a system. I just set it up and like letting out a long held breath of ick I took a long breath in of music. There is a button for ''sound turbo'' and of course I hit that bugger right away. About the same time my downstairs neighbor (very odd, way too long a story but he's the one that drove his truck onto my car a year ago) started making major banging sounds, and sounds like he was doing contruction. I had called my upstairs neighbor to make sure the music wasn't too loud and she said nope, couldn't hear it. Well, after another half hour of odd sounds from down-under I opened my door as he was slamming his over and over... "Are you ok down there?" I asked. Well, it was that sound turbo that had him nutty. I guess a walk up a flight of stairs and knocking was too much for him. Good thing I'm not parked next to him tonight.

MUSIC!!! I can feel some stress running away - yippy.

* Friends -- an especially crazy, nutty, batty friend comes to mind but friends are good.

I'm thinking that particular friend is looking at her phone waiting for the shit to fly. One ringy-dingy...two ringy-dingy... :catroar:

A link to the site where all the professional photographs of my niece's wedding are posted. I'm marvelling over how lovely this next generation of my family's women is. I'm so proud I can't hardly stand it.

Funny you should mention that, I just spent a few hours checking fences because the fucke... little darlings had been in the house yard and chewed the wiring off the trailer, I suspect the bloody roos have been knocking the wire as they jump the fence which is really annoying knowing that they can jump twice as high as the fence the lazy bastards.

I'd like a cute little roo please, but not bloody. ;)

dude... go out to the pasture and get your crap for free. ;)

i was thinking about you the other day when i saw a profile of an organic dairy farm on tv. they pay no money for electricity... the whole operation (including their house) is run by cow shit. the push all the poo into a pond with enzymes and whatnot in it. the methane it creates powers a generator that runs the whole joint.

Well we've certainly got the shit, makes you wonder if you could hook a generator up to your toilet, put the washing in the machine, take a dump and away you go. I suppose it coud be a bit rough if you need to pull and allnighter on the pc, still, that's where laptops come in handy. :p

Gotta head off I'm afraid, catch ya round like a rissole. :D

My husband. He puts up with me, calms my fears, talks to me when I need it, tells me to shut up when I need that too. I went from having one of the worst days ever to ending on light, happy high note just because he made sure that happened. One day he'll convince me I'm almost good enough for him.

Stay safe, honey, and come home to me soon. :rose:

Taking on a new challenge. I'm tackling cooking this weekend. I mean real cooking. Not making something "pre-packaged" from the store. That I can do. :D
I'm talking about cooking in an "open a cook book, bring stuff together to make a meal" kind of way.

:cathappy:

My grandma, because she's just amazing. And a stubborn bitch--I mean that very lovingly and have told her so to her face! She agrees! :D

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that she was hospitalized for severe back pain and leg weakness that left her practically unable to walk.

She's been on the hospital's rehab floor for the past week and a half, and when she was transferred there, the rehab doc said she'd likely never be able to move back home and he didn't see how she'd managed to live alone for so long. The plan was to get her a bit stronger at the hospital, let her continue to rehab in a nursing home for two or three months, and re-evaluate her condition at that time.

My grandma didn't like the sound of that and has been working her ass off in rehab. Her doctor is amazed at her progress and admitted to her that when she arrived, he thought she should be "put out to pasture" (yeah, he said that  ). The rehab folks are taking her to her house tomorrow to look over it and see what changes need to be made before she's discharged, and if all goes well, she might get to go home on Monday.

that's excellent news eilan... you made my day and i hope all continues to go well. she's a wonderful woman. :)
