This! I can't even explain how accurate this is!My closest friends and family are the ones that know me best, so they don't have any misconceptions about me, as I am my most comfortable/vulnerable/truthful around them.
People who don't know me as well? I've been called aloof and intimidating, particularly by men I've worked with (although that's generally a reflection of how they feel, not about how I feel about myself). I think that sometimes, people project certain traits on me because of how I look (resting bitch face) + my slightly reserved nature when meeting someone for the first time.
I've been told I'm an introvert with a loud personality; I don't think some people know how to handle a person that is both introverted, yet opinionated. I'm not shy (which is a big misconception about introverts), but I typically reserve my thoughts/opinions until I've observed someone or something for a bit.
I can assure you, you don't come over as boring.Well they are very surprised at some of the unusual things that I’ve done. But there quite a few things they will never know but are much wilder
Not actually sure what their assumption is …that I’m boring?
Aww well aren’t you a doll!I can assure you, you don't come over as boring.

Thought about this song, after seeing your postMisconception #57 about me:
That my hair is a wig, weave, sewn in, clipped in, glued in, or attached with Velcro. Extensions? Nope. Anything fake? Still nope.
I can’t tell you how many times a day someone at work, or even a random stranger in the checkout line at Trader Joe’s, asks if they can touch my hair.
First of all… why would anyone want to touch a random person’s hair? Exactly!
And to those people who still ask: every single follicle grew right out of my scalp. It’s called genetics, people.
Soy Boricua![]()
Oh, that’s a whip?! I assumed it was a Magic Wand, cord and all. There’s no whip emoji so I improvised! (There should be a whip emoji!)
