No clue who no doubt was.

It's so much easier now than in the old days... except now my body is old and worn out!I'm glad I don't have to maintain ACLS. BLS only for me. I used to need ACLS, PALS, ALSO, and NRP.

Plus I haven't worked in an inpatient setting since residencyIt's so much easier now than in the old days... except now my body is old and worn out!![]()
I enjoy being a father figure at work...and I am happier when I remember that I was young and dumb once, too!I supervised an intern today who was born on the 2000’s.

I won't be for too much longer. I will really miss a lot of it...decades of saving lives. Haven't really figured out how I will feel about stepping away from the bedside.Plus I haven't worked in an inpatient setting since residency
If you're ER you'll probably feel a hell of a lot better about not having to deal with admin or private equity anymoreI won't be for too much longer. I will really miss a lot of it...decades of saving lives. Haven't really figured out how I will feel about stepping away from the bedside.
Yeah, ED, ICU, STAT team...I love my colleagues, I love the job, I even love most of my patients...but the corporation is fucking evil. It's bad enough anywhere in US healthcare, but this outfit is beyond the pale.If you're ER you'll probably feel a hell of a lot better about not having to deal with admin or private equity anymore
There's a reason I'm on job #3 in 11 years. This system seems to actually give a crap about us and keeps trying to find ways to decrease our inbox burden, non-patient-facing work, etc. It's rather niceYeah, ED, ICU, STAT team...I love my colleagues, I love the job, I even love most of my patients...but the corporation is fucking evil. See, I have come to embrace being an older guy, and I wouldn't trade my mature brain for anything. But now and then we have to remind the whipper-snappers of their place in the hierarchy. When the tech kid was trying to explain what he did to fix my phone and said "its ok if you dont understand, my grandma didn't either when I had to fix hers "
See that's a good idea. I just called his grandma and told her. Hes gonna get a talking to on Christmas. Perks of a small townSee, I have come to embrace being an older guy, and I wouldn't trade my mature brain for anything. What comes to mind as a suggested reply to this kind of insolence might be something like, "Grandma?!? Kid, I could snap your dick right off!"
Ouch,When the tech kid was trying to explain what he did to fix my phone and said "its ok if you dont understand, my grandma didn't either when I had to fix hers "
