I put the soap into the washing machine yesterday and started it up. I heard the sound from the washer go off saying it was done, so I went up to move the wet clothes to the dryer. That's when I discovered that, while I had mechanically started the machine, I had neglected to actually put the dirty clothes in before starting it. The washing machine was empty (but smelled fresh) and the clothes were still gathered on top of my dryer...

Yup. Done this myself too
