Years ago I had a job where the fad-driven management wanted to create 'metrics' to track hourly productivity and then measure people against arbitrarily created goals.

I noticed that the myriad of mandatory meetings were not going to be deducted from my 'productive' time and I objected. My objection was ignored.

Then I had a review and got sanctioned because I was required to attend mandatory meetings.

The Institute for Law and Justice took my case, buttfucked my employer in a Federal court, earned me a tidy settlement that paid for a magnificent home in Kansas City, and they also scored massive money in legal fees.

Now the crazy part: My former employer asked me to come back to update the proprietary asset and shipping management program I had created for them. I declined. :poop:

My therapist advised I should"be nice to myself." I think he was referring to learning to tame how I speak to self without the self deprecation and abusive behavior Id never think to show others. Why myself? I mentioned it in another of Cheeky's threads yesterday that adcise, only I've since modified it fit my needs:

Be nice to yourself. Sometimes that means shanking a bitch to continue allowing your light to shine.

My boss. Despite my making it abundantly clear that management input was NOT required at this time he decided to wade in on a subject he knows nothing about and look dumb

"The main one you use"
"Me, my wife or my son?"
"Sir if you dont cooperate we will have to fine and disconnect you"
"Oh! Is that a new policy?"
"No sir, it's part of your contract"
"it wasnt the last time i was in the office. You see im a senior engineer for my Internet Provider, and if you really worked for them you'd know that based on my account. Hello, hello, he hung up......"

I think you could have wasted a little more of his time... Not revealed so early that you know even better than most 😁
 
Having the distinct feeling that I've been screwed over. I need to find a new car dealership, they don't deserve my custom any more.
