I'm going to make wings tomorrow. I've never made them before! I think they'll turn out awful, because I'm not amazing with meat. But it'll be fun to try something new.

I'll make pasta on Sunday.

Hopefully they turn out well. I recently got an air fryer that would probably be great with wings. I haven't tired wings yet. I've mostly been using it to make fries and veggies.

The fries come out amazing, especially considering I use so little oil (less than a tablespoon). Salt, pepper, garlic power, and chili powder for the spice mix

It's a very simple way to add some garlic flavor. It's light, not overpowering like putting entire garlic cloves into things.

The air fryer is great. It's really just a small convection oven. Stuff gets pretty crispy, and you don't have to soak it in a vat of oil. Mine is also very easy to clean.

What she doesn't know?
The student was covertly thanking me for being her safe place to come out. She is very much in danger here, and took a huge risk to discuss her truth with me to find comfort that she is *okay*. <3

I have had those moments, maybe two or three times in ten years, where somebody at work decides I'm the person they can trust to tell about the Big Scary Thing. It's a hell of a feeling, being in the right place to catch somebody and keep them safe.

Are shops closed there or are they out of food? What is going on in the world??? Maybe I should read the news a little more often.

My usual store was in normal mode this morning when I went, except they had hauled out an extra crate of handsoap and it was just sitting there on the aisle. But there was the usual amount of food available, maybe a little less of the prepackaged meats, but the shelves weren't empty. I bought eggs too, in case I want to make pancakes tomorrow.

That's my job! In all seriousness the thought of getting a chicken actually literally crossed my mind this morning. I'm not kidding. It would not be at all unheard of here... it wouldnt even turn heads. I sincerely briefly considered it... it would certainly be reliable if things get truly insane.
Stores are still open here, but literally everything else was banned as of a few hours ago.

Wow. That looks very sparse!

The first couple of days after the government declared the restrictions the stores looked like that here, but after that it's been mostly normal at least in the stores I frequent.

People are hoarding toilet paper here too, which is very funny. The toilet paper section is the one that's likely to be empty if something is.

I couldn't help it... I totally trolled my friends last week. I was buying things for my new apartment and accidentally bought two sets of TP instead of 1 TP 1 paper towels... so I messaged them pictures of being disappointed at extra TP.

My cat who climbed a tree in order to have a "conversation" with a squirrel.
They were both pretty high up but the cat had his limits. The squirrel went higher and seemed to be taunting him. Cat eventually gave up.
