Free lunch
Bringing flowers to work
Seeing a cute cat on the tram
Solving a small problem at work that could have become a big problem in a few hours
A thank you

I have been making a few minor modification to the house for the four week lockdown. In particular some new additions to the fish tank.

A picture from my "sister" <3 and a run by fruiting by Auntie.
The fact that last night Daddy called me an "absolutely brilliant woman." <3 It was the context that mattered. We were texting and he wrote "Yes, I know a few things *wry smile*" I replied "mmhmm... I do too... I am smart on occasion... arent I?" He actually told me to call at that point, simply to say ^ that. <3 I felt incredibly loved.

It is amazing how much more kids can get done without the distractions, transitions, and teacher redirecting of misbehavior. A significant amount of the school day is taken up by these. That said, if the kids don’t want to do the work, they will find a way to not do the work.

Yesterday's smiles:

Having lunch with a coworker instead of having to eat it alone.
The sun being bright and feeling warm on my face.
The sudden activity in the Cafe, nice to see this place a little less dead for once.
Soup.
A really great crossword clue.

I sent a text to a native speaker this morning, and used an idiom, which I then had to explain. I thought of Seela, and smiled.

Have you explained an idiom to me or why the association? And what was the idiom? :)

No, I've admired your use of idiomatic English, that's all.:)

The idiom in question was "doing a land office business. "

My OCD roommate freaking out because I have a tummy ache. It’s not a symptom. Move on! Silly.
