Just yesterday I had to repeat "a wild hair up his ass" for someone (native) who had never heard the phrase. SMH

land-office business
A thriving, expanding, or very profitable concern or volume of trade. For example, After the storm they did a land-office business in snow shovels and rock salt. This term, dating from the 1830s, alludes to the throng of applicants to government land offices through which Western lands were sold. It has been used for other booming business since the mid-1800s.

When I used it, I referred to a drive in burger joint, Sonic, that was packed.

I really don't know.

A wild hare up one's ass would make you do crazy things.

Last night I got a very unexpected, but such a lovely message from someone I went to school with. We were in the same class grades 3-9, always good friends and eventually had a brief but intense relationship (like all relationships at that age I guess) in highschool.

He's made music of some of my writings and I'm now listening to the songs. He'd reached out to me over a year ago in facebook when he'd found the old letters and such and first made the songs, but because I'm never, ever on FB I hadn't seen the message. I'm glad he dug up my number and texted me. This is rather lovely.

My vibrator has found an unexpected use tonight. I pulled a muscle in my neck while reaching down behind my bed. Turned that puppy on high and let it work the cramp that formed out. Only took a few minutes. Lol ah getting old sux.
