Ms. Tinycat finally managed to catch a fly. And ate it. It's gross but I'm still proud of her.

Having my eldest want to curl up to watch "Nightmare Before Christmas" before I broke. He's now making hubby watch with him, it's cute to hear.
Stolen kisses throughout the day- pain levels won't let me get near as much action as either of us want, so trying to be more expressive in other ways.

Ants started raiding kitten's food bowl.
We got her a new bowl with an ant moat.
She drank the water in the moat.
I refilled the moat.
Little bastards figured how how to swim the moat. I don't know how ants leave a trail across WATER but apparently it's possible.
I refilled it and added a little bit of soap. I'm hoping that will break the surface tension and make it harder for them to cross, and also discourage her from drinking it. We'll see.
Those ants think they're so clever :-/

Happy/sad...
Husband far away in his head - am never sure where he's going. He was in Vietnam for a while. Digging up dinosaur bones in the desert. I'm glad they're good places.
At one point, he looked at me, gave me a big sigh. I asked him what was up. He said he was really disappointed I didn't plan something really spectacular for him. I asked him what would be spectacular.
He said, you know - those things you go "ooh" and "ahhh" over.
Well. Of course.
I asked him if he could tell me if he was thinking of a specific spectacular thing. He said he thought I could do something with the crickets that had been crawling over him all day.
I was mortified and worried for him. I asked him how that felt. He said, ok - they've been pretty friendly.
And that was that.
