The local meteorologist who's like, super-famous in Central Alabama, posts pics people send him of their vacations sometimes on his FB. Today, we got a picture of a place in Iceland, where it said the temperature was 52 degrees.

I signed up for a 2-day pottery workshop in the fall with some friends. I’m really looking forward to pulling some handles.

I also signed up for my third Persian course. September through November. I really like the teacher, so I might as well continue even though the pace is rather leisurely.

And J is away for the rest of the week! Love having the apartment to myself. So quiet. I just do my own things, whatever I want, whenever I want. My plans so far are repotting my plants, getting my hair cut, watching MasterChef Australia, eating strawberries and meeting someone I haven’t met for almost a year. Maybe shoe shopping, too.

I also look forward to J coming back on Sunday, but the alone time is absolutely priceless for me.

Dinner at the Italian restaurant last night with friends. Sitting outside in the evening sun, laughing and catching up and speaking Italian with the waiter, who was just the right kind of Italian waiter flirty.
And a perfect Carpaccio di Manzo.
