What pissed you off today?

Finished packing for a camping trip. Had a major stressful day. Started to doze off and the youngest cub woke up screaming and holding his nose. I thought a beam fell on him, or his brother or a huge spider... or something.... when he stopped screaming he said his throat itched ... hes now dozing. And I'm staring at the ceiling trying to get my heart to slow down. Yes. the scream was that blood curdling.

what pissed me off though? He might have a full blown cold by morning and that sucks. Am I pissed at him, fuck no. I just hate autoimmune disorders. They dont mix with actually planning things!

No, ma'am, I have not, but I shall have to give it a try now. Thank you. :)

Think nothing of it :rose:. I got it in tea bags at my local health food shop. It was on my GP's recommendation and I was sceptical but it worked a treat.

Apparently eating blue cheese now makes my farts smell like rotting corpses.

Not fair. I could happily live on St Agur and gorgonzola and Roquefort, but if I ever want to share a sofa or a bed with someone again I'm gonna have to stop eating it

The absolute idiocy of some people who are behind the wheel. Although I am sure at some point in my life I was one of them lol ...sigh.

That my idiot older sister told my recovering mother that her anti anxiety medication was basically a placebo - not worth taking - and that she should just tell herself to get over it.

Um. Somehow I know how you're going to go out on your last day at work.

Only 27 days 'til I leave for the beach, but damn, it feels like time has absolutely stopped. It's gonna be foreverrrrrrrr before I can leave. *Whine*

Starting the day out fairly well, then once again descending into being ill to the point of not being able to stand or even sit for long.

Catalina:rose:

Dumb ass people thinking that all people who live in the western US are all gun toting psychos. Just not that but we all are John Wayne still carrying six shooters on our hips and having showdowns at high noon. If you don't live here shut the fuck up. Just to let people know we are a civilized state and most people don't carry guns.

Or go to midnight showings of new movies and kill a dozen people you don't even know.

Our thoughts are with the people killed and injured last night in Aurora, and their families and friends. My partner has very good friends who live in the area, are (by her description) nerds and thus likely to attend an opening like that. She was frantic all this morning until she'd made contact with all of them and knew they were safe.

It's too bad someone with a carry permit wasn't in the theater at the time to take that jerk out before he killed and injured innocent children and adults.

I'm glad your wife's friends were ok. The people who do this type of thing are very mentally Ill. It makes me angry they kill innocent people. I agree but even with a concealed permit that person probably doesn't train enough or in the correct way to shoot the right guy. On the news the guy was wearing a bullet proof vest.

6 more nights until I start a day as a free woman, yes :D

And my fridge is full of super-vintage Stilton ;)

You will give NATO a heads-up when you're about to unleash this sub-nuclear weapon, won't you? Just so they don't scramble the chemical weapons defense squad, you know.

Thanks for the reminder, MWY :D

I aim to give a whole new meaning to the expression "She left the job under a bit of a cloud".

Two stories that pissed me off royally this morning, but in one post; I only had one smile/laugh story for that thread, and want to keep my ratio between these two threads relatively unscathed.

Disabled veteran says United Airlines staff kicked his service dog and asked if he was retarded as delays forced him to spend THREE days at the airport

A disabled veteran and his service dog were abused by United Airlines staff, he has claimed.

Jim Stanek, a three-tour Iraq veteran suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, said employees of the airline kicked his dog, Sarge, and asked him if he was retarded.

In a YouTube video the Paws and Stripes founder describes his ordeal which began on July 16 at Dulles International Airport in Washington.

+_+_+_+_+

Stanek says he repeatedly asked if someone would help him after hearing about the delays but was brushed aside. 'I was in a lot of pain, physically mentally and emotionally at that point.

'I couldn't get any help and that was the most disconcerting thing about it.'

At one point, having sought assistance from a customer service adviser with reading a booking confirmation email Stanek was asked: 'Are you retarded?'

Kentucky teen faces charge for naming attackers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A 17-year-old Kentucky girl who was upset by the plea deal reached by a pair of teenagers who sexually assaulted her is now facing a contempt charge for tweeting their names in violation of a court order.

+_+_+_+_+

Afterwards Dietrich tweeted, "They said I can't talk about it or I'll be locked up. ....Protect rapist is more important than getting justice for the victim in Louisville."

+_+_+_+_+

Dietrich said she just needed to stand up for herself. "I'm at the point that if I have to go to jail for my rights, I will do it."

First Amendment lawyers, ACLU, etc.... WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?

As usual, much more in the original stories, linked through each story's headline above.

Mine is petty compared to those ^ but I still feel the need to bitch a bit.
Having to buy a cocktail dress for an event a few months ago was a wake up call for me. I'm at that age where my metabolism isn't what it used to be. So I embarked on my first diet ever. In a couple months I lost about 10-12 pounds.

I've gotten lots of positive comments from people at work and I'm proud of myself, but what sucks are the handful of negative comments I've gotten. Those seem to stick with me more for some reason.

Also I'm crabby
