New applicant at work had a very thick Polish accent. I had to sit in and "translate:" I grew up listening to it, my maternal great-grandmother had one.

It didn't help me much that her college resume was as big as her chest :eek:
 
Southern.. 😂 I live in the deep south.

Sadly, I have one myself and I try to hide it. I hate it.
 
I’m hearing American accents on a tv show right now. But in real life? It’s been a couple days since I had someone to speak to. I’ll hear a very diverse range of accents at work today
