I must be doing it wrong. I'd rather chew off my own tongue than eat oatmeal.
I prefer stewed prunes on my oatmeal, but am I missing out on some better treat?
I love oatmeal with raisins, walnuts, about half of a splenda packet, and a splash of milk. This, with toast, is my favorite breakfast.
Grits with butter are awesome! (Real butter!)
And, JBJ, starting a thread on oatmeal? Brilliant! You've got a great sense of humor, man.Although, even though I am with you on the bananas with corn flakes and with peanut butter, I do believe they are probably more versatile than this. Have you ever dipped bananas in melted, dripping chocolate???
Haha!![]()
oatmeal Is Not Slimy!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, but it can be.
Grits need butter, salt, and pepper. And eggs. Over easy. Runny eggs. All blended in one, glorious mess.
Unless we're talkin' cheese grits, brown gravy, light bread, and fried mullet.
If there's a heaven, and I have my doubts, grits will be on the menu.
Its not possible on Earth, no way!
I cant count the ways youre wrong! A merciful God will not allow slimy oatmeal in his universe.
Maple syrup and walnuts. Yummmmm.
Only had grits once and I thought they were nasty. Maybe I didn't get good ones.

Apparently you've never eaten breakfast at my mother's house.
