What's cookin', good lookin'? Part II

Samesies! I made salmon with feta, red onion, basil and spinach yesterday, too! I just poked holes in a chunk of a side fillet though, and filled those pockets with the mixture. Yours looks a lot fancier.

The first time I tried this with similar filling it looked awful, so I specified equal sized pieces and not too thin, put them on their side sliced almost but not quite all the way through. Worked way better.

My parents gave us salsiccia that they like and MrAlthea went to buy cream and came home with a cookbook by Niklas Ekstedt containing a recipe for Pasta Carbonara with salsiccia balls and lemon zest, so that is what we had today.
I burned my finger on the pot and spilled some pasta with egg mix on the cooktop, so I’ll have to go clean up my mess soon I guess. ☹️
 
Turkey noodle soup.
Not something I would ever order, but I ate it and bragged on it, 'cause that's how I'm wound.:)

Day 1:
  • Oats with raspberries
  • Oats with snap peas (picture)
  • Oats with blueberries (my least favorite)
Day 2:
  • Oats with raspberries
  • Oats with one kiwi
  • Oats with half an apple and cinnamon (picture)
Day 3:
  • Oats with the other half of the apple and cinnamon
  • Oats with asparagus and mushrooms
  • Oats with frozen wild berries mix (picture)

Add 75g of rolled oats / oatmeal to a bowl. Add 50g of raspberries or snap peas or blueberries or kiwi or apple or (asparagus and mushrooms) or wild berries. Add 300ml boiling water. Wait for 5 minutes. Enjoy.
 
Been on an oatmeal kick for a week or so. Seems better for me than the granola I’ve been eating.

Dinner tonite. Marinated salmon in olive oil and a lite teriyaki. Broiled it and served it w cous cous and fresh beans.

As an aside, I took the day off today cleaned up the garden area and planted beets, garlic and potatoes.
 
We had spicy pork satay with coriander and jasmin rice yesterday. I’m not a huge satay fan but my sons requested it and I cannot say no to them.

Today’s lunch is my trusty Hungarian goulash and I’ve delegated the onion peeling and chopping task 😂😂👍
