What's cookin', good lookin'? Part II

And look, I actually didn’t get pomegrante all over the kitchen this time!

This reminds me… When J and I were first getting to know each other, we bought pomegranates and ate them on the couch while watching a horror movie. Our method of removing the seeds was, say, less than elegant.

When the movie ended and we turned on the lights, the white wall behind us looked like a murder scene and you could see where our heads had been because those parts were still white.

I also accidentally left a butt print in the sauna because I had dyed my hair and when I went to sauna, some dye still bled from my hair and down my back and drew the outline of my butt on the bench.

J and I were very surprised he got his deposit back when he moved from that apartment. 😁

Yummy food, too, btw. ☺️

😳 😁

It’s terrible to deal with. They were out of frozen pomegrante though.

That stuff goes everywhere it’s not supposed to.

😂
It seems to be a gamble with landlords.

Yummy food, too, btw. ☺️

I mean, bacon salad…what could go wrong?

I made a Pizza with salame and provola affumicata.

Rest of the salmon fillet baked with fennel, apple, zucchini and red onion. Drizzled with lovely balsamic and down the hatch. Happy seela.

Just roasted some baby potatoes and mixed veggies and made a hummus sauce to top it all with from some store bought hummus, lemon juice, a pinch of salt and a little water to thin it out...

It was delicious.

I visited a friend for a book chat and she had made nettle soup with eggs and after that some cheese and crackers and fruit.
(@seela: The nettles are perfect here now!)
Yummy!

Before leaving, I made deviled eggsallad for luch boxes tomorrow.

Nice! I’m really looking forward to fresh nettles. It’ll take a while until they’re perfect here. ☺️

On the menu today biff a la Lindström with mashed potatoes, caramelized onion, sautéed chanterelles from last year’s stash and cornichons

Ooh, sounds great.

Salmon, potatoes and parsnips are in the oven and there is a carrot salad with lemon and sesame dressing too.

I have a dip and carrot sticks fixation at the moment.

I think I'm gonna make hoppin' John tonight. Don't have any meat that'll work in it, though, so it's going to be a vegetarian one, lol.

May fry a squash with it if my last piece of squash is still ok.
