I think I'm going to have a room temperature Snickers bar, with deliciously sweet chocolate, creamy caramel, crunchy nuts and nougat (whatever the fuck nougat is).

Indian "potato chips" made from lentil or chickpea flour (I think there are other sources, too). They are like crack, but loaded in protein, and delicious for dipping into the usual Indian restaurant condiments like dal and raita.

And now I'm craving curry, dammit!

Tonight I'm making a pork roast which might morph into pulled pork sammies or something. Not sure yet, but at least I pulled a piece out to defrost.

I vote for pulled pork tacos with guac and pineapple habanero salsa! :)
And I won't tell you I'm having curry tonight :D

Ahhh! Okay. I am familiar with those. I just call them by their technical term. "The crispy things".

Interesting. I like them, but have avoided them on principle, assuming they must contain gluten. Apparently not so. Uh, yay! :D

Its spelt many different ways! you might know it by another. Or you might need to get out and eat some Indian/Pakistani food.

( they actually aren't my favourite things.....or good for cats )

I had a cat that loved corn on the cob! She was grey and white striped, with a raccoon mask. I always figured that some atavism or another had her liking the corn. She would sit up on her hind legs, hold the cob upright with her front paws, torn her head sideways and chomp away!

And how did I discover she liked corn on the cob? Because she stole it right off the counter one day  the only thing she ever broke the rules to steal! Ok,, the only time I knew about it, at least

Uhm, you did talk about a cat, right?

Simple Syrups

A pretty cool page. I use simple syrups at times to preserve things, but would have never thought of allspice and red wine and chocolate and... Ok, lots of recipes here. Enjoy!

I bet you could use some of those on your favorite little balls to interesting effect.

No way I'm even giving a hint as to how I like my little balls :p

For all of you foodie folks. This place has some very interesting stuff from time to time.

Dark Chocolate with Olive Oil & Sea Salt

Buttery notes from Texas Olive Ranch Olive Oil and sea salt shine through this dark chocolate flavor.

Ooooohh! Lick! Yes, there is one right by the farmers market I visit, and I drop in occasionally. I have had some odd ice creams there, like rosemary something or other, and... I can't remember the other ones. No matter how weird they sounded though, they were always good! :)

Naan - I found this recipe that uses yoghurt - and it made a lovely naan. I went 50/50 white and whole wheat flour though, and I don't think I will ever make an all white naan again. It was super tasty! I also added raw chopped garlic and a little extra salt. I could have eaten a mountain of this stuff :D

Sesame Halva!! Why haven't I discovered this awesomeness before?!?   I want MORE!

I've only ever used yoghurt in my naan. What have you used before?

Well I have kicked around with different recipes. It's also possible that I used non fat yoghurt when I made it before  My store is frequently out of the full fat kind for some reason... This recipe will now be my official!

Halva.
IMO ignore any chocolate flavoured ones. Waste of time.

Plain or pistachio studded is where its at. :D makes a great after dinner with coffee closer too.

I love sesame and good probably eat tahini from the pot. Ok.scrap probably. I have been known to lick a tahini spoon.. One of the best breakfast tips given to me by a friend when I was looking for something to switch up my breakfasts was a spoon of tahini in my porridge. OMG, its good. Of course, being me I cannot leave it at just that, so I've also tried adding lime juice or honey or coconut , or all three, for different breakfasts. All are so good.

I love porridge though, its just I get bored of sweet additions very quickly and dislike it plain or salty. I usually have it with apple or berry soup.

Ignore chocolate? Oh, no way! I will have to try it at least once :) Actually, the bat I had said vanilla flavoured with cocoa powder. I liked it just fine!

I think that is the official definition of "cat".

I don't do a lot of baking, but I may have to try the naan.

The dough is a bit soft, but it's worth messing about with. Especially with garlic! If you like garlic :D

Ok, now this is the one that blows me away...
Don't cheese like?
Errr...
Cheese like don't?

How is this possible?

I've just never been a fan.

It's fine on some things, I guess. Pizza. Macaroni and cheese. That kind of thing. But it's got a nasty habit of making me gag uncontrollably (which is something that's happened since I was a child) for whatever reason, so for the most part, I prefer to avoid it. I don't really care for the taste, anyway, so I don't feel like I'm missing anything.
