bond moovies!!

anybody that is a james bond fan, lets face the facts there has never been a bad bond movie!!
whether it was sean connery or my favorite roger moore or who ever they were all good movies my favorites were ocopussy and for your eyes only!!

Yeah Goldfinger had some class innuendo.....although the line

'Theres no point going off half cocked' from Live and Let Die was absolute class!!

As for Lazenby.....too wooden....although Dalton was worse.....

Dr NO was the first 'official' Bond film...... Casino Royale was like a spy film where the character of James Bond featured.....according to my father who is the Bond Guru!

You're confused.

"Dr No" was the first Bond film, but the first time Bond appeared on Camera was a British TV (black and white) version of the Bond novel "Casino Royale".

Since the rights to "Casino Royale" were not available to Bond producer Cubby Brocolli (because they were bought by the producers of the earlier TV version), they were acquired for a later feature spoof of James Bond films with David Niven, Peter Sellars and Woody Allen, which was a terrible film, and one of my all time favorites.

The best Bond film is generally regarded to be "Goldfinger", and I'll tell you why. Watch Connery's face as he's forced to drive his own car at gunpoint. You know there's an ejector seat button, and he knows there's an ejector seat button. His look of murderous glee, before going anywhere near the button, is why Connery will always be the best Bond.

My favorite Bond innuendo was from "The World is Not Enough."

"I thought Christmas only came once a year." I almost chocked on my Coke when he said that.

Connery, DEFINATELY.

As for movie...well..there're quite a few I enjoy. Really kinda depends on my mood.

For now I'll say From Russia With Love...there's a great one!

That, it is. For Your Eyes Only is the 2nd best.

"Live and Let Die" is great, but the "Theme from Goldfinger" is seminal, and will always rank slightly above "Die" because when you hear "Die" you picture McCartney and Moore, but when you hear "Goldfinger" you picture only Connery at the height of Bond's 60's swagger.

Jaws had to be the best bad guy for sure.....he was fab...especially at the end of Moonraker!!

And the Bond girls......Pussy Galore was the best name ever!! Although Ursula Andress in that bikini....mmmmmmmmmm.

In my estimate Dr No is still the best of the 007 films. Why? The plot of Dr. No is believable and suspenseful. The climax has to be one of the most exciting finales filmed. (...the American missile has been launched; Crab Key island is seconds from being blown to smithereens; and 007 and Dr. No are slugging-it-out-to-the-death on a platform being lowered into the boiling, radioactive coolant pool of Dr. No's nuclear reactor!..) Sean Connery's sings a few bars of "Underneath the Mango Tree". What else do you want? Here Bond is a bad, hot, super cool, super-spy.

Have to go with the consensus here.

Sean Connery... who could still kick ass as Bond. In fact, I heard he was offered a role in the next Bond movie... as a villain. He turned the part down.

I do like Pierce Brosnan's performances, though.

Goldfinger... for all the reasons that have been listed above. I also liked Goldeneye. It had an imposing villain in Janus, and I've always had a thing for Famke Jansen.

Shame....i think connery would have made a great villan!

And Famke Janssen...mmmmm.....that whole pleasure pain thing was kind horny.....

Connery was the best overall Bond, but the best movie was The Spy Who Loved Me with Roger Moore.

I love Sean Connery

I still think he was the best James Bond, toupee and all. But I cannot say with movie I like the best. I like all of his Bond movies.

Oh... sorry, that was Cannon Ball Run :D

Thanks DCL, I was aware of the Brit TV show Casino Royale, most people (at least on the left side of the pond) don't realize C/R was written by Ian Flemming.

I also couldn't remember if Dr. No or From Russia with Love was first. I enjoy the early Sean Connery movies. They were dark and sinister, perfect for the early cold war era... especially "Russia"

I think Lazenby was panned because Connery was such a hard act to follow. I enjoyed OHMSS... hated seeing "Mrs. Peele" die though, I love Dianna Riggs. Lazenby has said he wished he had not turned down a second script, I think he may have surprised some people.

Dalton was trying to bring some humanity and recap the early darkness of the series..

And Brosnan was born to play Bond... he spent his entire career building to that end.. by his own admission. He was royally screwed by the network and producers of Remmington Steele, who held him to his contract just long enough for Cubby to sign Dalton.

for me, there's a tie between Sean Connery and Roger
Moore............

for the movies....I enjoyed "Goldfinger"; "Live and Let Die";
"The Man With the Golden Gun"; "Octopussy"; "For Your
Eyes Only"; "The Spy Who Loved Me"

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Trixie, i absolutely agree. connery was the best Bond. My fav. movie was =You Only Live Twice=[sorry, keyboard trouble, no quotes and have to copy and paste the letters]

i like all the actors who've played that immortal secret agent for different reasons. connery was the first and brought a toughness to the character that helped to get it rolling. roger moore, though very gadgety, was slick, humorus, and slick. tim dalton gave bond a dark, sinister edge. brosnan has injected a new energy and life to james that i find refreshing adn appealing. i didn't mention george lazenby as he only did one movie and i don;t really consider him a bond. favorite film is tough to call, again i love `em all for different reasons. i'm just a bond fan, period.

My favorite Bond Girl was Holly Goodhead. And, FYI, the actreess that played her had to explain that name to her Mom. I'd be rather embarrassed.
