But what is the typical guy? And is anyone at Lit typical? I recognize that you might like a specific type of person but your phrasing was just plain rude. Sooo many people will find all different types of people hot. You may have a personal preference but if you do a little browsing, I'm sure you'll find what you want without stooping so low as to call people old and/or fat.

Both are rather derogatory and both can be totally sexy.

i agree with you shy, for the longest time i would check out the post people made but refused to post on it. however the time has come. each and every poster makes a thread for his or her reasons. they put up all sorts of different things that express themselves in a variety of ways. half the fun is looking at all the threads and deciding whose thread you like and whose you choose to stay away from. there are so many beautiful people here, including the ones who i dont choose to post to. when you look at a thread say to yourself, is this person my type? if not hit the back button and leave if it is yes then post away. and give everyone a shot at least once...i have made many new friends that way. those whom i didnt think iwould enjoy looking at, i love and those who i knew i would like to check out...well...i love them even more.

I don't think of this thread as comparable to the infamous "sexiest chick" or "hottest girl" threads, for three reasons.

First, the topic is "threads" and not the people themselves. Some threads are fun even if no pictures ever get posted. Some threads are notable because of the photographer's skill, or the entertaining banter. Rather than focusing on a simple ranking of women by their supposed hotness, the original poster asked lots of questions about the various things that might draw a viewer to a thread. This seemed fun and openminded to me, which is why I posted (and I mentioned a wide range of threads in my answer).

Second, and similarly, the topic is not focused solely on women as objects. Threads begun by men can be discussed in this conversation as well. To me, that makes a difference, because it's more egalitarian.

Third, there are things that a person might do to improve his or her thread, but there is little one can do to improve one's hotness level. Short of major plastic surgery, I've got the body I've got, and I'm never going to look like most of the women who have been designated "hot" here. But make an index? Sure, anyone can do that. Take more creative pictures? All it takes is some effort and a willingness to go outside the conventional imagery. In other words, a person has some control over the qualities that might make a thread a "don't miss," but a person has little control over whether or not she is considered "hot" by others. Thus the "don't miss" thread assumes that people have some autonomy, whereas the "hottest girl"-type thread assumes, in my view, that women are simply passive objects on display.

Thanks, that is what I was going for. I like to look at male and female threads and looking for recommendations for a variety of reasons. It takes all kinds and sometimes you realize what you find hot may not fit into the mold of what you thought you would.

Well having been around for awhile I would choose a fe wgals, although I have subscribed to quiet a few over the years. One of my all time fav is UMChick, she has got great shots, curves, and loves to flirt and is a real sweetheart over all. Also along those lines Elizabeth73 is one of the sweetest gals around. There are so many others, EmberFaye was great when I first came along, now she has moved on to other venues. These are just three but there are sooo many deserving ladies and men here that need more praise.
