Why did you divorce?

Currently separated from my wife, and we get along better now than we have in the past 14 years. No intimacy in our relationship and we both agreed a break was needed.
 
My wife met her old school love who had just divorced. She thought he was even funnier than me. Shortly after I met the one who is now my partner for almost 20 years. Still grateful to that old school buddy of my ex 😇

There have been very few divorces in my immediate family, but my wife's family has been through several, including her parents when she was 10. So I'm curious - what were the reasons for your divorce? Was it somehow related to sex - either without permission or possibly not suited for each other sexually? Or maybe you just couldn't stand your spouse.

I'm asking about divorce, but I think if you were in a committed relationship for a year or more without being married, those answers would be fine also.

Because he liked fucking his interns more than fucking me. And I would have done anything for him. Bastard.
 
After my wife and I started having kids, suddenly nothing I did was good enough. I had always done all the cooking, all the cleaning, all the laundry and the yard work. And I didn't mind it for the most part. But she started complaining about how I was doing everything. I started dreading her coming home, because I didn't know what I had done wrong that day. Things rapidly degenerated from there.
 
Because my ex is a witch.

No...really....after ten years. After meeting, courting, and building our family life around church, she first got involved in Native American Spiritism and has subsequently become a Wiccan. While on a "spirit quest", her "spirit animals" allegedly told her that the "Great Spirit has a plan for you and [insert my name here] has no place in that vision". Several pages of a journal noting other things the animals "told" her made it into court and I got custody of the kids.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your story. At least you got the kids.
 
1st hell marriage - got out in one year - financially nicked, but did not breed with her.
1. Crazy
2. Her Cocaine parties continued into Mondays
 
There were several reasons my wife divorced me. It wasn’t just because I had a small penis. My wife usually would tell me to just lick her to orgasm - she did like my tongue. So , being small wasn’t the main reason, but it didn’t help either. She definitely wanted someone more manly than me.
 
Ultimately, because we were the wrong people for each other. So clear now, but I was naive and in love at the start. Hindsight is 20/20!

Probably small consolation, but this is a new one to me. Does she have anything to do now with you and your kids?

How long were you married?

Did she find more manly men while you were still married, or wait until after?

I think there are many women that would rather have your tongue than a bigger cock.

My kids were 5 and 7 when we split and I was a single dad for two years before remarrying. My ex-wife had the requisite court ordered "reasonable and customary visitation", some weekends, some holidays, and though we were (are) largely amicable there were times that things became acrimonious (in no small due to her subsequent failed relationships and nearly fatal RX pain killer abuse). I recently celebrated my 25th Anniversary with my second wife with whom I raised my kids as well as one of hers (the other was already an adult when we met.)

The "kids" still have a loving relationship with their mother though my wife, their stepmother, is "Mom".
