China is building more than ever.I'm more concerned with building nuclear power plants. The markets will correct themselves. IMHO
Biden signed a law to build more.

I use that one when the post has no use. That's why you see it a lot. There's the Rolodex™ Reply!
I’m not a big fan of industrial policy but if it is going to be used to promote a government favored industry, I’d much rather have it targeted toward nuclear power rather than electric cars.I'm more concerned with building nuclear power plants. The markets will correct themselves. IMHO

I saw the "Advance Act" and laud Biden for signing the bill. The big hurtle will be streamlining tough regulatory red tape.China is building more than ever.

Have a cigar.I’m not a big fan of industrial policy but if it is going to be used to promote a government favored industry, I’d much rather have it targeted toward nuclear power rather than electric cars.
I agree. The pushback on construction has wrecked the progress already made.I’m not a big fan of industrial policy but if it is going to be used to promote a government favored industry, I’d much rather have it targeted toward nuclear power rather than electric cars.
Paul ran from it, Leto embraced it and who was the monster? The mother all along?Life must be boring for a guy that already knows everything.
After Chernobyl, localities basically put the brakes on and added all that red tape. It will be tough to overcome, but at least we're moving in the right direction.... especially with advances in the techI saw the "Advance Act" and laud Biden for signing the bill. The big hurdle will be streamlining tough regulatory red tape.
Winners and losers,Have a cigar.
Ya can't have one without the other. Biden signed the 'Advance Act' bill hopefully red tape won't make it impossible to build power plants. I'm sure Trump's new cabinet will streamline bureaucratic red tape.I’m not a big fan of industrial policy but if it is going to be used to promote a government favored industry, I’d much rather have it targeted toward nuclear power rather than electric cars.
I haven't seen 47's policy on nuclear power.Ya can't have one without the other. Biden signed the 'Advance Act' bill hopefully red tape won't make it impossible to build power plants. I'm sure Trump's new cabinet will streamline bureaucratic red tape.
MAGA kids hate operation warp speed.Remember operation Warp Speed?
When Biden and the (D)s took distribution credit after blaming the outbreak on the same administration and running on the magic elixir that they, and only they could produce because, you know Conservatives hate Science because Abortion and GlowBall Warning...?
Die hard supporters of 47.I'll bite.
What's a MAGA kid since we're into codespeak and smoke signals.
Visit Twitter and find out. I'm describing a group of people that carry influence in the party. Your mileage may vary.Do you see a lot of them? Everywhere? You can speak up and stop whispering now, adults are in the room...
He did state on Joe Rogen podcast that he would prefer smaller more compact and less complex plants as opposed to large plants. We learned many lessons from Japan, Soviet Russia and the three mile island debacles.I haven't seen 47's policy on nuclear power.
There's another technology out there that's better. He did state on Joe Rogen podcast that he would prefer smaller more compact and less complex plants as opposed to large plants. We learned many lessons from Japan, Soviet Russia and the three mile island debacles.
That's actually what the advance act proposed. American nuclear plants have always used a safer tech in their construction. Chinese EV makers can't sell here, but they are outpacing US and other automakers. (China is also building a ton of nuclear plants, btw)
Will they ever break through into the US market? Will our government let them?
Just what we need- electric Yugos.
I'm still curious what was meant. I don't see any comparison of quality that isn't biased.Top Gear has covered this extensively…at least when Top Gear was still in production (look at the iPhone and iPad Jeremy uses as props) and I was looking for a particular episode, but found this instead. It gives a lot of perspective on how far and how fast Chinese copy-cat cars have come.
I’ll let the lads take it from here…
Nuclear…don’t even get me started on that.
