Word of the day to ponder over

I'm sorry, quoll. :rose: Today, I know exactly how you feel.
:rose: :rose: I hope you feel better soon BG.
If I do something wrong I acccept the consequences, but to be accused of something I didn't do, in fact the complete opposite, well it pisses me off big time, I guess I don't like all the implications that come with the accusations.

I guess you can tell that it pisses me off huh. :D

You do have every right to be pissed off. I hope whoever is making those accusations sees the light and apologizes. :)

wind chill

The term "windy city" originated as an insult by a New York reporter who was commenting on the amount of hot air produced by Chicago politicians. Today, with the temps in the single digits Fahrenheit (-13C), it was brutally cold with the wind chill coming off the river. I saw a messenger dressed in an insulated snowmobile suit, a stocking cap, a ski mask, and ski goggles. He was almost warm.

Resign

I am resigning my position and turning in my mother badge. Neither one of them listens to me so I may as well quit and go drink pina coladas on the beach.

HOPE

Hope alone is tiding me over right now.

I hope tomorrow will usher in relaxation and enjoyment of the magic when I finally get all of the shopping and everything else done.

I hope those surprise packages get to their recipients before Christmas.

I hope I see a dear friend tomorrow; he has a beautiful and very odd way of making my spirit soar.

My hopes are riding on 2006 being far better and less painful than 2004 and 2005. From where I sit now, it looks like it will be, and for that I am so grateful.

I hope each of my friends here and everywhere have joyous holidays and all of their hopes and dreams are fulfilled.

I'm not sure what mood you were in when you wrote this, so without trying to make fun while you feel sad.... that remark wás very funny :D

Salute! (raising my Pina Colada to you for a toast)

Merry Christmas, Cate! :rose:

My word of the day is peace. I wish you all a day of peace and warmth. Remember how special you are, and that you are loved.

Merry Christmas !!!!

edit: I guess I just learned how to "increase my size.....giggle giggle"

Renewal

I rarely make any New Year's resolutions but I do like to see the turn of the year as an opportunity for change, growth, and opening myself up to new experiences. Tonight we will sleep the sleep of renewal and wake to new possibilities.

My wish for all my How To friends is that you find ways to open yourselves up to something (or someone) completely new in 2006. Oh, and that you notice something beautiful every day.

Have a great year!

Should

This word has way to much influence in my life.

There is something I should do today. But I think I've decided not to. I think.

You have this right, BG.

Consider the difference between "should" and "want to" or "will." So often, we use "should" to describe those things that are on our daily to-do list yet not all of them deserve that label. The word "should" connotes responsibility and maybe even a bit of coercion. Sometimes the responsible thing to do is to take some time for yourself to get centered or to put parts of your life back into balance. At other times, what keeps you in balance is to do the responsible things and enjoy the satisfaction of being on top of things.

I hate the word "should."

I have a ways to go to "be on top of things". ;) Today is a day to embrace slothfulness and inactivity.

Failure

My word of the day is failure. I am such a failure and have totally failed in making the changes I need to already this year.

I think you need to give yourself a break, after all it's only 2 days in the new year, you've got a long way to go before you can consider it a failed year and even then I'm sure you'll see that progress has been made.

Whoa! In two days? You still have 363 to make up for it. You can do it!!!
