I remember listening to this on WLS-AM Chicago late at night when I was in high school. It was awful then , and still is.

Sorry, but I'm torn. All of these songs were written, recorded and they made money. I've tried to do that for years, without success. Sure, some of them might make your teeth hurt, or your eyes water, but just the same, they've made money.

I understand the purpose of this thread. It gives you a chance to complain...a form of release. It's a very cathartic feeling to be able to point out songs you hate, and have others agree. And I agree that some of these songs are not that special. I don't consider them high on my list for listening pleasure.

I'm a struggling musician...with a strong emphasis on the word struggling. These songwriters have done what I haven't. If some might cringe when they hear these songs, I understand. But I have to say, even the worst ones are still accomplishments and that is music to my ears.

A lot of good work will never be commercially viable or big. A lot of horrible work will - on luck and fads and not much value.

I wouldn't mind being a fad, if I could make a living at it. Some of these songs made big bucks.
