UPDATE: Thanks for the conversation y'all, it's been fun to read. The original relationship I was trying to figure out how to write wound up being a full-on lesbian D/s thing, which was *not* part of the plan, but I just said fuck it and decided to floor it and see where it went. Both those characters are a ton of fun to write, plus it felt super authentic to them, so I felt like it worked with the story really well. I tried to pull from my own feelings and experience, just in life in general - you all made a lot of good points about that - so we'll see how it plays. It certainly made the story way more interesting from a plot perspective.

And anyway, idk, I like to push myself to write new shit. It was all getting kind of run-of-the-mill and simple there for a while.
