Yank's Free Range Turkey Trot Warming House and Bondage Barn

Whoa, slow down.

Step 1: Is it beer?

Hoegaarden. Pretty sure it's beer. Belgian stuff. I also like Belgian Moon. They seem to serve them with an orange wedge.

I'm an alcohol lightweight. My tastes run to the sweet and fruity.

There is a small local brewery in Maine that makes a blueberry beer. I am not an expert on beer but I though it was pretty good with just a hint of blueberry flavor. Apparently it was not a planned brew but the a guy had run up a big bar tab and did not have any money He did have a truck load of blueberries so Yankee ingenuity produced a blueberry beer.

I had a local blood orange pale ale. It made me sleepy.

That sounds delicious!

Fruity beers should be illegal for anyone over 17.

So what about stuff like black cherry hard lemonade???

Whoa, slow down.

Step 1: Is it beer?

So you can't always rely on the label?? Just kidding.

I dare you to try the stuff I mentioned. It’s bitter. Like my heart.

I wonder if I'd like it. I like beer but I don't know that I'd seek out bitter just for bitter. That makes me think of a Southern pecan beer. It's a bit too bitter for me though.

That sounds like it belongs in the same corner of Hell as Annue Green Springs and Boone's Farm Apple Wine. I'd rather drink week-old orangutan piss.

I've never had either of those so I can't really compare. Does the fact that I like bourbon neat redeem me any?

Think of overly sweetened Kool-Aid mixed with moonshine poured off this morning and that's about how good either of those wines (I use that term loosely!) would taste.

You only drank those if you were under 18 and long before the good taste was even a concept. You had booze so that was cool. Admitting that it tasted horrible would not have been cool. Perhaps we could toss in the concept of "no taste" to go with the "no brain, no pain".

I hope y'all are all doing well. I'm so glad it's the weekend and I can relax some. I want to get a lot done today.

I was up eating Tostitos at 1am. Just... bad all around.
Today will be better.

Any plans this weekend? I’m lying low, and finishing up Cobra Kai. The days are too beautiful here not to be outside.

I'm going to try to get some stuff accomplished around the house and rest. I have friends that want to visit but I'm not sure that I have being social on that level in me right now. I'm not sure how nice it is outside. I think it's supposed to be cooler today which means I can get some things done outside too. I think I might take a nap first though. Tostitos are pretty tasty.

Not a morning person, either. I get to work at 7:30 a.m. and people are chit chatting. I cannot do it. I try. Every single day the same. How are you? What's going on? What's new? Did you see (fill in the blank about anything in the news).

Ugh. That first 2 hours of work is groundhog day. Just be silent. Enjoy the quiet. No coffee slurping.

I'm good to go about 9:30. Talk to me then.

I've found that one good thing about wearing masks is that it's better for mornings since I don't have to smile. Also people are less likely to talk as much with them. Even with coffee, I still can't really deal with chatter and all that.
