kids need mom and dad
not part time parents
that they never get to see
if daddy is what you want to be

then daddy should be there just like mom
for all the good times
and the bad

parents shouldn't

over their children
their kids should come first

need to be closer
so parents we can be
and take care of

enjoy the holidays
birthdays and all

kids should have rights
just like adults do
to be happy with mommy and daddy

the problems that they have
is because dad is away
and they don't get to see him
every single day

mom and dad love each other
in their own way
so should be with

sometimes things don't go as they should
but as adults we can make them better
children don't understand
what we go through to keep
them safe and loved
each and every day
sometimes parents cannot stay together
for whatever reason, but
what both parents can give them
in support and love
will be with them for all of
their lives,
even if they aren't there for
every obstacle that faces their path
