Urgh. Another long day of work. Meetings. 7 of em (and one cancelled). Then a Christmas party and met my daughter after work for dinner.

Highlight of my day: Actuarial manager who’s a really nice guy after someone on a call thought I was an actuary and started asking me all of these technical questions: “well, you do have a bit of an actuarial air about you.” Little does he know i can barely add 2 and 2.

Got home around 8:30. Unfortunately, I haveta see my mom tomorrow nite after work. Another late night…

I’m fuckin tired.

Good morning . After 4 hours I have transferred my old phone to my new iPhone. It was supposed to be easy and it was not. But it’s done. I also transferred to a new service. Let’s see how they do.

It always takes us out of our comfort zone when we have to make changes like this. I changed my healthcare insurance for 2025. Now I will have to figure that out!

The boys and I still run around the house making light saber noises as we whack each other till the things fall apart. Some of us never grow up…

One last thing to do this morning then leave on the jet . Vacation was supposed to start early but noooooo….the good news is I have Folgers in my cup!. The Kerug had Folgers at the hotel. Haven’t seen that since I left home eons ago! Anyhow, I have to say…I still like it. Everyone have a great day, and Oh…I might have an MP3 solution for those that were talking about that a few pages over. I need to get home and look for it though. It’s a project I put on hold…

What was everyone's first ever car?

Mine was a 1972 chevy caprice

The first one I bought for myself was a used 1972 Chevy Vega. It was a real POS car! It ended up dying from a blown head gasket.

I then sashayed into a Ford dealership and bought myself a new 1977 Mustang with 4 on the floor. The salesman asked me if I really wanted a stick. I might have scared him a bit during the test drive. You see, I learned to drive in Italy...

My husband at the time was furious but I prevailed. It was a basic car, no frills, but it was cute and it was mine!

1965 Ford Galaxy 500 4 door! We could cram 7 or 8 kids and 4 surfboards in the trunk. The wiper fluid box had a big cork for a stopper, and as this thing had been passed around the family, my older cousins had put hippie flower power and moon and star stickers all over the dash. It also had a 352 FE engine in it. Wat can tell you all bout that…

Sounds like a bomb car!

I've been guilty of that, too.
Also, fond memories of being able to tumble over the seats from front to back to "way back" (i.e. third row of seats). Was so easy when little and limber.

We called the third row "the back-back!"
