All day meeting yesterday. My eyes were literally spinning when they weren’t trying to close. Then dinner.

Not home till 830.

Now some more of that bullshit.

Well today just turned into a complete shit show. Bottom line, two pieces of equipment that I was responsible for, but were stored in another building, have turned up missing. I was directed (of course verbally, never in writing) to leave that equipment at the remote site. They will initiate an investigation but eventually I’m sure I’ll be held liable and have to pay for them. Fuck that. I’m livid right now.

Sorry to dump this here, but I don’t have many other areas where I can vent. Hope everyone else is having a better day.

Hate that - the struggle to keep them open and that slightly "out of body - eyes vibrating" feeling when you do manage to keep them open. Not fun!

This ticks me off. I've been known to send "confirmation emails" after those type of discussions as a CYA.
(Yes, I have trust issues)

Total BS that they can put you personally on the hook for issuing their directives verbally.

Makes me wonder if they already knew they were missing at the time???
(Yep - those trust issues again)

Got a personal recco on a handyman.
They were here working on a few small issues. I mentioned my bathroom fans don't do anything. So we got the stepladder and he took a look.

The one had the plug in backwards. Was blowing air into the bathroom, not out. Switch the plug around and it passed the papertowel test. Yay!!

He offered to check the other b/c we both assumed if one was wrong...
As soon as he removes the fan cover... over a half dozen dead wasps fall out onto his head. :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

He's coming back tomorrow to add some screens and spray insulation to both in hopes of preventing them from getting into my unit. May not be the only way they've been getting in - but this portal is now closed!!

So glad it was him on the stepladder removing the fan cover. (Is that wrong of me??)

I followed up with a call and email to the association. They're adding it to their Spring Action List. Hope there's something they can do on the roof vent side of things to keep these critters O-U-T!!

Not enough Epi-Pens in the world for this issue!!

Looks like a decent machine. Only comment is low tig amps at 15A vs some others at 5A. Most likely not an issue, but could be useful for very thin material. (Razor blades or pop cans for the fun of it).

I didn't see any pulse settings. That has been handy in a few cases. But might not be a problem you ever run into.

There are others out there too. Modern welding equipment is getting so cheap lately, it sure doesn't hurt to shop around!

The countdown started the minute the equipment was identified as missing. They have 14 days to initiate an investigation and if I’m found liable I’ll be financially responsible to pay for the missing equipment (after depreciation of course). It’s the Federal Government so what do you expect.

And to add one more kick in the balls, I was reviewing my online depot card statement and I found an authorized charge. Now my card is locked while the bank does their fraud investigation, two weeks before Christmas.

And I wonder why I can’t get into the holiday spirit this year.

Ya not to hip in a bunch of dead bugs. I suspect that in that job you might see a few things like that...
