Well, what did he recommend?Signing up for TIG next go-'round. He agreed to show me a thing or two on MIG and told me what machine to buy.
Hate that - the struggle to keep them open and that slightly "out of body - eyes vibrating" feeling when you do manage to keep them open. Not fun!All day meeting yesterday. My eyes were literally spinning when they weren’t trying to close. Then dinner.
Time to make the donuts.
Is it... Leg Day??Have a great day all. Dragging my carcass off to the gym. Trainer day there will be pain lol
This ticks me off. I've been known to send "confirmation emails" after those type of discussions as a CYA.Well today just turned into a complete shit show. Bottom line, two pieces of equipment that I was responsible for, but were stored in another building, have turned up missing. I was directed (of course verbally, never in writing) to leave that equipment at the remote site. They will initiate an investigation but eventually I’m sure I’ll be held liable and have to pay for them. Fuck that. I’m livid right now.
Sorry to dump this here, but I don’t have many other areas where I can vent. Hope everyone else is having a better day.

Looks like a decent machine. Only comment is low tig amps at 15A vs some others at 5A. Most likely not an issue, but could be useful for very thin material. (Razor blades or pop cans for the fun of it).
That does not look relaxing at all
The countdown started the minute the equipment was identified as missing. They have 14 days to initiate an investigation and if I’m found liable I’ll be financially responsible to pay for the missing equipment (after depreciation of course). It’s the Federal Government so what do you expect. This ticks me off. I've been known to send "confirmation emails" after those type of discussions as a CYA.
(Yes, I have trust issues)
Total BS that they can put you personally on the hook for issuing their directives verbally.
Makes me wonder if they already knew they were missing at the time???
(Yep - those trust issues again)
Quick email to recap our discussion. Confirming you want the following pieces of equipment to remain the in the remote storage location at (address/room/etc.):
list of equipment - w/ asset tags if available
Any chance you can drag it all out for a while? Where's that countdown at??
Ya not to hip in a bunch of dead bugs. I suspect that in that job you might see a few things like that...Crazy Busy Day
sounds pretty on-brand with everyone else's
short catch up
