So, I'm writing a piece about different spanking implements, and I'd like to try and get some unusual ones in there. What are some of the more unusual implements you've used or had used on you? And what did they feel like / how did they differ from other similar toys?

I'm mainly looking for toys specifically designed for spanking, but improvised implements are cool as well. Someone I know suggested using an electric fly swat - something that I can heartily recommend.

In the past, I've used a quarter inch thick strip of wood, ripped length wise from a 2"X4". The texture of the saw cut side contrasted to the smooth finish of the stock side allows to sensory play as well.

Yes, really.
It's sturdier than a yard stick, not much thicker if the board footage is ripped properly.

Not at all. At least not the one I had. I think it used 2 AA batteries, it broke easily too. I exchanged it twice before I just gave up and got my money back. You know how it feels when a tiny bit of bacon grease pops on you...about half that intense, maybe even less.

If you crave electric play, you are better off with a TENS unit than some of the other things "said" to be useful in play. Most things commercially available are just to fragile for use as a paddle.

I agree, but I'm kinda a wimp about electric play so I thought the small flyswatter zap would be like a baby step...so wasn't worth the trouble though and it barely felt like anything at all.

They are designed to deliver a strong shock to an organism five to seven times the body mass of a human being. They are neither Safe not Sane. People have claimed to have degraded or derated them, but I wouldn't risk it on anything done by a home hobbyist. Much to dangerous.

Remember, electric shock above a threshold that is very much individually subjective, kills cells; burns or otherwise disrupts them. Electric play must be very. very carefully approached.

It can be done and done safely. But I wouldn't buy anything on line. I'd find a reputable BDSM shop, go, get to know the staff and ask lots of questions.

They are excellent tools turned toys. I have one that that is a purpose built toy (not from the home care section) and it works well. More of a "percussing" tool than a spanking took, though.

Interesting suggestions. I think I'm boring here because I prefer just a wooden or leather covered paddle, a hand or my favorite...a crop. Nothing is better, to me, than that sharp sting of a crop on ass and legs. Plus I like the patterns he makes on me with it.
