There are a lot of great songs that I never get tired of, but this is the song that first came to me when I read the prompt. The song really is a classic, and I always listen to it when it comes on the radio. The song is synonymous with the film (celebrating its 40th anniversary this year) and especially that iconic last image of the Judd Nelson character raising his fist in the air.

Ooof, I’m getting caught up after an atrocious stretch of evenings at work.

It was funny then and it’s funny now. Back in my late 20s, I had a FWB who was a few years younger than me. He was tall and handsome and a bartender who wanted to be a rock star. The sex was great and we got along pretty well.

I think it was our 3rd “date” when he asked if it was ok if he brought his guitar over. Ummm, ok.

So he proceeds to play this song and I’m pretty confident this was my face the entire time

I have always been massively confused by how many women seem to like douchebags like that guy (or at least douchey behaviour).
So it somehow makes me feel much better to know that you were hating 'the experience', but just needed the cock that badly!
Unlike douche-adoration, and bad musical taste, a little bit of lust is nothing to be ashamed of whatsoever.
For the record, I have had to sit with 'that look' on my face while people played Nickelback, as well... and I never even got fucked at the end.

Starting as a trio, two members left and then the singer met the perfect drummer. A few years later they were signed (Fueled by Ramen, I love the label's name) and that first album was the second ever to achieve a gold certification on every track. Then their album "Blurryface" also managed that certification. They became the first duo/band ever to get gold certification on all tracks on two albums.

The band name was inspired by Arthur Miller's play, "All My Sons"

So, so many over the years, but my all time is really recent time so a combo of sorts.
I mean Robert Plant of Zeppelin and Allison Krauss of Union Station! Who thought that and their first album has tons of great "duo" but my choice

I will never forget hearing this song and band for the first time. My ex-wife mailed me the CD in Iraq. We’d moved from Baghdad to Diyala province and a lot of stuff didn’t catch up with us. I remember her letter saying she thought I’d really like this. She was right.

So I popped the CD into my discman (remember those???) and was like what the fuck is this? (In a good way). I was shocked to find out this was just two people making this wonderful fuckin racket.

Catching, up so I’m gonna do a two in one. There’s this guy who I found on TikTok (as many of these stories start—I find a lot of great music there!), Oliver Richman. He’s a super talented musical theater guy. Last year he challenged himself to write a song a day for a year.

He wrote this song for Groundhog Day. It was inspired by this story about [Punxsutawney] Phil drinking a magic elixir that keeps him alive forever but his wife, Phyllis, doesn’t.

It all started with this TikTok that went viral. People started adding all sorts of parts to it, including a version with Elyse Meyers as Phyllis. People were calling for a full Groundhog Day musical to be made.

There are a lot of great duos, but I haven't seen these two on here yet. Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee, both banjoists, record as The Lowest Pair, but in this one Kendl takes up the guitar instead. Her voice is perfect here in this live recording.

I know what you are thinking, The Beatles were a foursome. Yes, they were, but 1) there's no better musical duo than Lennon/McCartney, and 2) this song is recorded entirely by John and Paul. It's a true duo performance. On the recording tapes you can even hear John call out to "Ringo" to drum faster and Paul respond with "OK, George."

The only thing I suppose you could say is that they don't fit the "good" label because get were far better than good.
