Day 1: A song that gives a warning

Jimi Hendrix version of "All Along the Watchtower" from Dylan. "Biblical overtones evoke a nation grown too comfortable while the storms raged outside its gates. Still, it was Jimi Hendrix who set the match to the watch fires and his sizzling guitar became its clarion call"

Day 2: A song about war
They lost five to every one of ours. What a waste, all the way around...

Robbie Krieger's hauntingly great guitar, blends prefectly with John Denmore's marching drum beat. And who EVER had a more commanding voice than Jim...

Day 2: A song about war
Friends Ain't S'posed To Die - from the play Billy Bishop Goes to War (1978)
Written by John MacLachlan Gray and Eric Peterson

I could only find the original on the wayback machine and as I prefer not to draw attention to a fount of history that would otherwise be lost, I won't link to the play.

Even clips of the original are consistently removed from YouTube despite the fact that it is no longer available for purchase from the CBC. The remake by the 2 man show is available but I feel the original production has more heart.
