❓ PLP Inquires II ❓

Well since I don't disregard all information due to my lack of taste for the author and since I've seen these be really useful for a lot of people who don't communicate well, I answer this one!

My love language is - Words of Affirmation. They can build me up so quickly or cut me to the core. I come from a family who fought with words and so I know what a double edged sword they can be. I'm also a good communicator and can spot someone not being genuine a mile away.

My non love language (other than tacos) are silly jokes, nerd shit, and jelly beans.

well Pretty kitty...
you are beautiful and smart and kind and talented and lovely and fun and clever.
Keep it up.

also, tacos are on the way. cue :GRUBHUB.

now, about the languages of love for me, I am not familiar with the book that was referenced, but I love when I am considered, respected and spoken to genuinely.
Not considered an after thought.

oh. I just googled it.

Quality Time.
Physical Touch.
Gifts.
Acts of Service.
Words of Affirmation.

words, time and touch... I need them.

Not so much gifts, or service.

am I doing this right?

Let's talk Love Languages

What's your love language and how do you like it spoken to you?
What "non" love language is really your love language? (I.e. tacos are my love language)

I'm not familiar with the love and non love language thing. But if we're talking about words and communication, I do appreciate the words a lot but there need to be few and rare. As much as I love the words, I pay far more attention to patterns, actions. I can totally live with someone who doesn't say "I love you", for example, but I know it and feel it in my bones that he does, because of his actions.

I'm "acts of service." Clean the kitchen and I might jump you.

My real love language is mint chocolate anything though.

Love language? There are no words. It is a look. Eye contact. You can tell what love is. And it makes you feel amazing...

I'm words of affirmation, quality time and touch as well. This is why I take the time to touch myself while giving verbal encouragement.

Similar to Amy and Nevyn, of the categories given, for me it’s time, then words, and (to a lesser degree) touch.

Fermina makes a good argument about mint choc, though. Especially if it’s ice cream.

Looking at the available options it would be quality time for me.

My initial reaction when I was first reading the questions was..."Uh, English?".

I'm in love. I will clean your kitchen and then provide mint chip ice cream with jimmies (sprinkles for you heathens) and hot fudge, of which I shall also take a generous helping. I will enjoy doing it, and I promise to save energy for the after party :cattail:

How do you take criticism, constructive or otherwise? Do you incorporate criticism, attempt to learn and grow? Or do you brush it off and keep it moving?

I try to take it and evaluate it. Sometimes It takes me months to get past the initial emotional reaction, but almost always i try to incorporate it. That said, shallow criticism, or projection mostly don't change me.

i agree with Avery on the issues with the author and stuff. But my love language would be performing tasks! Soo, that's pretty simple.

My love language would be honesty. Honesty about ones feelings, emotions, fantasies anything and everything.

No love language would be short non-descriptive replies

It mostly depends upon the source and the context in which it's given. But no, I don't immediately discard it and keep on moving. I evaluate it and make use of it where applicable.

i internalize, process, and then brush it off! i do my best to do what i can with the criticism if i think it's appropriate and warranted.

If i don't value the criticism i'll just brush it off. soo i guess it depends on the source?

I do not react well at first. In fact I tend to get angry and defensive. But if given time to process, I can accept it it truly applies to me, and work on it.

If I decide that it does not apply to me, I brush it off.

I'm good with criticism but the delivery matters. If the critic is an asshole, they can fuck off. I use it to learn and change when it's relevant.

Tell me about your libido.
Do you think it's higher or lower than normal? What do you consider normal? Does it remain steady or does it ebb and flow?

Definitely ebbs and flows. I would say I have a fairly healthy sex drive and like a lot of sex, however there is a time before I am about to menstruate where I want a lot more. And I mean a lot more.

I consider normal to be whatever frequency a person needs to have a fulfilling, honest and healthy sex life with their chosen partner/s.

I have the same thing during periods. Annnd during spring time. I don't know what happens but I go high during Spring.

mine is definitely high the week before, during and the week after my period - which gives me about a week of not being bothered, but still open to persuasion...

Warm weather always has an effect....

Some things affect it - some people get hornier when they get stressed, but my libido just drops like a stone then (or when my workload is heavy).
Otherwise? It varies wildly. I can have stretches of time when it's quite high, and others when I'm not really feeling it. I can't always even tell what will cause this.

Fuck, I've got a hangover right now and I'm horny as fuck.

It's high. Higher during times of stress or illness, unless I've got a really bad migraine or I'm having tummy trouble.

What's normal? I think I read somewhere that it's once a week, but that would most certainly not be enough for me.

There is some ebb and flow, but it's never Fara way. ;)

It's kinda meh some days. Depends on how tickled my brain is. Or how busy I get. Which sucks.

I don't know what "normal" is...

I got clean when I was 27. Something really weird happened...I finished puberty. I got hair on my chest. My dick was hard all the time. 34 yrs later...I still like who I have become. I don't have the constant hard-ons any more...I can control when and where. Isn't that "normal"?

Even as the decades go by, the libido doesn't decline in the least. The hardware still rises to the occasion. Unfortunately, things do not always come out as wanted.

Happy June! It's fucking hot and getting hotter.

What's your favorite way to beat the heat during summer?
