You know, there are days where I should keep my mouth shut. Today is one of those days, but I’m not going to.

I followed @Fiestykitten here from another thread. She is one of the sweetest women I’ve met on Lit, and I’ve been on here a day or two. Does she tease hard and push back, yes but that’s what makes her who she is. Everyone has a story who makes them who they are. Some share that story on line, others don’t. Nobody should assume they know the real person or their story just because you flirt or tease each. I have to use the same discipline here that I use in RL, I try to reread my post at least twice (just like my work email) to make sure my attitude is in check and I’m truly saying what I want to. I encourage others to do the same. Don’t forget there is a real person in the other end of your conversation, someone you don’t know their story, so just take it easy and be kind.

well said, and feisty is great, i would love to have her back, i think we would all enjoy having her back when she is ready. however, this is the internet, and this is not her thread. dont bring your problems or negativity here. dont take a bad day out on someone else. if you interact aggressively (even in a playful manner) expect people to take their cues from that behavior and act in kind. be responsible for your own behavior. as we all learned a while back, this site doesnt offer much protection. if you have a problem with someone or cannot interact civilly with someone then use the ignore button (its all we got).

1) I haven’t said a damn thing to anyone in any other threads about anything so if stuff is being said, it’s not me, not even privately. I left and washed my hands of it. I wanted no drama and stated as such.
2) you are right I do push back and push back hard never have I insinuated what was insinuated about me last night
3) I stated clearly it hurt my feelings and I was out. I meant it. I haven’t been back at all or said a damn word on the situation.
4) you have opinions and ideas about me, that’s fine. You’re entitled to them. I’d probably agree with you on a lot of them too.
5) you don’t have to worry, I don’t like drama or to keep bringing things up. Once I’ve said my piece, it’s over. I won’t be back again, it’s to make sure there is no drama. You have something to say please do so, just give me the opportunity to defend myself.
6) my piece is done. I wish you all the best. Truly. I won’t mess with your thread or the fabulous people here. That’s not who I am.

Rj!! I am so sorry to hear that LadyK is having a rough time. You’re a wonderful guy and I’m sure your support means a lot to her!

I’m guessing her issues are worse with colder weather? Have you thought about going to a gym or local Y that has a sauna? It may help! With my cervical spine issues I’m having, warm weather or heat helps immensely!

I really appreciate you and Lady K (Kathy) is a little better today. She has a chiropractor that she goes to and it seem to help some. She has a appointment this Monday morning. A sauna won't work for her because of her thyroid issues (she gets overheated which has it's own problems). I'll keep you updated on her progress.

Last night, a comment was made by one poster to another. Said comment was taken one way, even though it wasn't given that way. A third poster tried to intervene, which was nice of them to do so. Offended poster left for the evening, and until just a bit ago.



While what was actually said wasn't even in the league of most offensive posts in here, the offended was clearly triggered. We've all been triggered and stepped away before when a comment just didn't hit right. The poster who said the offensive comment was already in talks with one of the OG Brats on next steps.


We three are not taking any sides on this. There was drama, overreaction, unnecessary comments, and more shot from many directions last night and since then.


We are a self-policing thread. A lot of these things can be taken to DMs. I stated yesterday, as a joke but think it's necessary, that the Brat House safeword is pandemonium. If someone says something that's too far for you, just drop this word to them. If it's something that needs further sorting, please take it to DMs and sort them. If you need to step away for a bit, that's your right. If you need me, Sammy or Brenda to step in, please ask.



This is a public thread. What you say will be seen and taken differently by a lot of people. You might accidentally trigger someone, how that person responds may trigger someone else. And so it goes.



All of you who have had something to say on the matter, taking one side or the other, making jokes or sticking up for behavior, bowing in or bowing out... please, that's enough. Someone said it earlier, you don't know everyone's story. That's true. Anyone who felt the need to say something today clearly has a story one way or another as to why they felt like they needed to make a comment, joke or other.


There was a lot of unnecessary drama surrounding these events from last night through just now. We love you all. We love what's been built here. If you need to step away from it, step away from it. If you want to stay, just remember this is meant to be a safe space. For all.
