2026 Literotica Competitions and Author-Organized Events

For Dark Fairy Tales, a few Pending stories did finally get approved and were added to the published list. No way to know if that will happen again.
Thank you Jorunn. There are a few back to back in Jan Feb and March. I just hope there aren’t issues with the lag in publishing

Is this an appropriate place to simply ask a question, in particular about the Music challenge and what that is all about? What if someone - I have no idea who would do this silly, er....kinda stupid idea, really, heh-heh...but actually write a musical piece? I know, stupid idea....geez...I'm such an IDIOT! Good ol' IB (idiot-boy)....sorry...forget it, heh-heh! Stupid idea...(walks away, muttering)...

Probably best to ask in the event support thread:

I'm hoping to see the Amorous Goods event revived. I have the beginnings of a story to submit to that...

bump seeing as 2026 is looming on the horizon
Do you know the magic phrase to go with this and the other contests? Any idea why they aren't just posted with the schedules? Hunting them down is tedious and annoying.

Yes. That's the one.
I'm not sure that shows up until the actual contest is posted or there's a support thread stating what it will be. You could try to guess, but really you're better off just waiting until it posts. I know it's not the answer you're looking for, sorry.

If you've already written the pieces, sit on them until then. None of them will be posted until the first day of the contest anyway, and there's always plenty of notice ahead of time so you should be able to submit pretty quickly, long before the actual submission period begins. To be safe, you might want to also add to the Notes to Admin that you want to hold off publishing it until the contest (which Laurel probably would do anyway, but better safe than sorry).

I've seen both before. Neither one lists the magic phrase, just the schedules.
Most of the events and contests have a hotlink to the support thread associated with them, and that's where the 'magic phrase' can be found. The first post of the support thread contains all the other details about the events as well. If you're interested in one that doesn't yet have a link, you can try sending a private message to whomever is listed as the organizer.

Maybe it's another site glitch? I don't know. Also, it's a convention, not a conference. A conference is more of a work-related thing. A convention is more fun!
