2026 Literotica Competitions and Author-Organized Events

Chloe's a rock star. She helped me get off the ground a few months ago, too, so welcome to "The Club of Authors Whom Chloe Helped Launch." What size t-shirt do you wear? I'll have one sent over.
Thanks for the welcome gift! I think the only way to wear an @ChloeTzang Author's Club t-shirt is one-size fits all with the sleeves cut off, right?

Here's the support thread for the Tales From The Orient event. A few of us are excited for that one, so if you have questions, need help coming up with or refining a story idea, or just want to connect with other people who are writing the same kind of stories as you, drop by.
That's very cool of you, I'll definitely give it a read through and kick around some ideas. The time and place stipulation is a bit of a headache, but, sometimes it's the restrictions that spawn our best work.

The time and place stipulation is a bit of a headache
Give that part a chance to sink in. I'm not a history buff, but the time and place turned out to be my absolute favorite part. You've got a couple hundred years of source material to mine from a rich, vibrant, heavily populated, and sophisticated group of people, plus literally thousands of topics to start pulling threads on. The challenge of trying to present a story from 16th century Joseon has led me to learn about some really fascinating things that I never would have otherwise known about.

You may come to appreciate the stipulations as the best part of the challenges!

I am late to this thread, but I would like to include the Survivor Challenge. It runs for the whole year, so there is no slot necessary.

https://forum.literotica.com/threads/survivor-25-rules-and-registration-thread-read-first.1625487/

I just asked Secretlace if they were planning to host it again, but if not I would be willing to host it.
I would love to throw my hat into the the proverbial ring for the 2026 Survivor Challenge.
Not to run it but to write for it

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry I'm so late to this thread, but I was wondering if there was any possibility for there to be audio focused/inclusive events in 2026? I've noticed that there's some general hesitance about including audios in competitions and events, and as someone who's mainly here as a VA I thought it would be nice to include audio folks more?

I'm happy to start a separate discussion thread about this, but I thought it might be best to raise it here first.

I have been a voyeur here for years.

Up until now, I don’t think I have had the gumption to really submit if of my works. I have recently found myself with an extra amount of time in my hands. I am not sure if I want to go back to the world of the “employed” or join the ranks of the retired.

I expect most will fall into the lesbian world but I have had some experience with the opposite sex. I don’t know how many will be romantic but I will hope readers find the spicy.

Thank you for sharing this article. I will go over and take a look.

The events posted at the beginning of this thread are ideal places to start. Many of us released our first stories during one of those events, and the discussions around them tend to be very encouraging (even for contests, which are technically competitive but in reality are very supportive).

Think about it this way, you'll probably have a lot of questions about your first story (I did), and what better place to get them answered than a discussion with 15 other writers all thinking about the same things? There's no downside. And sometimes it's nice to have a deadline so that there's a reason to stop and move on to the next thing.

I was viewed the list and have an idea or two cooking.

My wife and I are empty nesters, she still works. I did up until last week. 🤷🏼‍♀️

She has read the junk I have written and is encouraging me. I might try the Valentine’s Day and yes, you are so correct. I do need deadlines. I previously did really well with deadlines in my job so now maybe this becomes my fun job

Here's a secret: you can't lose.

Seriously, just write and publish. There's an audience for everything, from barely literate hardcore gangbangs to lyrical epic romances. From a thousand words to a hundred thousand words. From bleak realism to flights of fancy. Some even say there's room for second person POV.

So just write something and see how it goes down. See whether you enjoy writing it, or maybe you want to experiment with something else. It's all fine. Just because you've tried one genre or style doesn't mean that you have to stick to that. It's one of the great things about Literotica: you can write whatever you want (within the site's very minimal rules) and nobody will say that you can't.

So welcome on board, good luck and have fun!

Thank you so much. Your words and encouragement are very kind.

You would say that. You would totally say that. You feel the allure of those three, tantalizing letters, beckoning you to type them, to dazzle your readers with the depth of your unique perspective.

It is but an illusion, though, a flash of pure madness. You know it; you know it deep inside. And yet you persist, for it is the doom of your own creation!

I might try the Valentine’s Day

Furiously takes notes ...

2nd person POV
lovecraftian cosmic horror tone of madness and doom
Valentine's Day

Okay, boys, I think I've got 1st place in the V-Day contest on lock.

My apologies TheRed, I’m … ummm a woman, a lesbian, married to a woman
. Forgive me if I didn’t make my profile the correct way. I just changed it.

I was not offended and love being one of the boys but … damn I am stumbling over my words here so I will shut up and just apologize.

I was just being silly. I had "Chief Wiggum" from the simpsons in my head when i wrote that but you had no way of knowing. I had picked up that you're a woman, glad to have you aboard, and I apologize for the misunderstanding

Is the fanfic contest somewhere nearby, time-wise? Because I feel you could cover all three bases by just bringing up the Agent Smith's final monologue:

Why, why? Why do you do it? Why, why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting... for something? For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know? Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Could it be for love? Illusions, vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose. And all of them artificial, although... only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love.

For me, fanfic always answers questions with "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women", which I feel works in this case from a Cimmerian point of view. Conan ain't got time for Agent Smith's nerd talk.

Around here, we might want to replace 'lamentations' with 'orgasmic cries,' but broadly speaking I suppose you're correct.

I mean I would like to see Agent Smith delivering that monologue only for Arnold to growl "wrong" and snap him over his knee.

Hey Sin,

For what it's worth, the Tainted Love event @dirk2024 and I are hosting will be open to audio and poetry entries. (I would include art as well, but I'm pretty sure the site has essentially cock blocked art entries. Though such entries would be happily welcomed on my Discord server.)

Also, if you did set up an audio event, I would happily participate.
