Muppets!!!!Your winner, by a split decision of 9 to 7, Scrooged! They will move on to the second round to face Battle 3's winner while Elf returns through the seven levels of the candy cane forest in shame. But now for today's match-up.
Battle #2.
The Muppet Christmas Carol
vs.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
In the corner to my right, with a record of 13 movies and 3 television series, The Muppets. With the second of three versions of the Dickens classic in this tournament, The Muppet Christmas Carol. And in the corner on my left, with a record of stretching a 20 page children’s book into a 105 minute long feature film, the year 2000's How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Let the battle between the man surrounded by muppets and the man dressed as a muppet begin!
Gremlins is top shelf ChristmasThe Muppets take a commanding lead into the night (well where I am it is) but as these movies show, a lot can change in a single night.
Time to highlight another beautiful singing performance from the list of honourable mentions:
Not judging but…watch Muppet Christmas Carol and vote before you watch GrinchDay 1- Scrooged, hands down.
Day 2- Never saw Muppets Christmas (don’t judge) have never seen the Jim Carrey Grinch movie either.
If you read the OP, you'd see we are voting on two choices each day.White Christmas
Have to go with Die Hard!!!Your round 2 winner by technical knockout (13-3), The Muppet Christmas Carol. They will move on to face the winner of battle 4 while the Grinch is taken to the hospital to monitor his dilated cardiomyopathy. Now on to our next match-up.
Battle 3:
Die Hard
vs.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
In the corner to my right weighing in at one too many sequels is a movie that probably shouldn't even be in this tournament because it has nothing to do with Christmas (outside Now I have a machine gun Ho Ho Ho), Die Hard. In the corner to my left weighed down by the love a million goth girls is a movie that probably shouldn't even be in this tournament because it is very obviously a Halloween movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Let the battle of the Christmas adjacent movies begin!
Don't have a second choice! If you read the OP, you'd see we are voting on two choices each day.
