I think the confusion is the puck hints.

So I selected all 4 spots as 1 color and say two "puck hints" are green, well that means there are 2 spots of that 1 color in the solution.

The puck hints do not indicate the location of the correct color slots.

It is confusing to me since imo the puck hint colors of green and yellow should be of a different color That can be placed in your guesses.

Not sure if that made any sense to anybody but me

Exactly, too much scrolling on mobile for that.

Yeah the weekly one is a 5 x 5 grid
So you have to solve 10 words

The daily squardle has a 5 x 5 grid also but there are some blank spots so only have to find 6 words.

It is confusing at first but having to solve vertical as well as horizontal is fun.

You do have to take advantage of marking spots for letter placements to make it easier to visualize.

On wordle sometimes I have to put Xs in blank spots to help me visualize the word possibilities.

It really is a fun game after you get the hang of it

If I had set it to hard it wouldn't have allowed my mistake but I don't have a free NY Times account and I don't change it to hard as I just try to play by the hard rules on my own. Doh
