As in how strong? I’d ask my mom but I don’t know that she’d know the difference. She’s from up North so it’s her preferred cocktail.
Most places it is an Old Fashioned, using brandy (brandy, simple syrup, and Angostura bitters) over ice.

The Wisconsin version adds sodas (as in different types of soda, depending on if you want it sweet (lemon-lime soda, like 7-Up), sour (grapefruit soda), or press (half lemon-lime and half club soda)). Also, when making it, add maraschino cherries, and an orange slice to be muddled in. It is served in a tall glass of crushed ice, with several more cherries as garnish, and sometimes an orange circle.
 
Yep! My aunt always uses diet 7-Up. And if my mom orders one out she asks for sprite or 7-Up in it because most restaurants don’t have diet clear soda. But I never knew why she did that.
