thats good to have a bartender. I have always felt that bartenders are a mans best friend. I mean i can talk with him about anything while having a drink.

I think I need a drink after today's emotional rollercoaster.

Namely, mom had a heart attack. Thank goodness dad recognised it early enough and called help - she got into hospital and was operated before any permanent damage, danger over. She has exemplary lifestyle and is fit, so we suspect it was from all the stress... There's been plenty recently!

So sorry to read about this Strix. Prayers for her swift and complete recovery. I am sure that it has been a tough couple of days and you are really just at the beginning of it. Sending Hugs

Thanks Cas She has been recovering well and is expected to return home today. Dad recognising the symptoms for what they were was critical, she got help in time and got no permanent damage. The first attack is generally the most dangerous one, after that there are meds and experience helping. Now she's learning how to deal with all the meds... But she doesn't have to change lifestyle which is uncommon. Her siblings did some digging and apparently there's plenty of genetic burden so even we daughters need to consider it.

Genetic burden is a tough one. I know very little about my dad’s history apart from his smoking and drinking, but my mother has been pretty forthright about her conditions and it seems I’m tracking her pretty closely.
