How's it going sweaty friends?

Today I completed day 14 of the wall sit challenge (2 minutes). It was tough but doable! How is everyone else doing with it?

Yesterday I went trail skating and 2 miles in I wiped out and banged up my elbow quite a bit. It is fine, but there is a large cut, road rash, and bruising, so that's fun. 🙃 I got another 4 miles in before calling it quits. I was hoping for 10 but I can save that for another day.

I'm doing a cardio workout this evening after having sat in a car most of the day today.

The wall sit challenge felt so good until today 😂 it went back down to 20 seconds which was really nice, but then it jumped up higher again and that just felt like cruel and unusual punishment 😂

I recently got the pool pass, and I'm going to try and wake up at 5:30 to make it for a 6:00 a.m. swim. We will see how happy I am when my alarm goes off 😂
 
Yeah, exercising is always easier with someone.

When I was in physical therapy for my knee surgery (miniscus repair), they had me doing wall sits. He told me there was a teenage girl who came to them, she was a cheerleader or gymnast or such, and she would literally do her reading homework while wall sitting, she could got 30+ minutes just like it was a chair 😳

I’m shaking like a leaf past 1:15😒
 
Happy Friday! I doubled up wall sits yesterday because I missed a day. 2:20 and 2:30... It's starting to get a little rough but I'm proud that I've held them all so far! 2:40 today for day 19 and a core workout tonight. If I'm motivated I'll go skating this evening. Happy sweating! TGIF!
 
Is anyone (I guess technically this is addressed to Americans) joining a Turkey Trot this year? 🦃🏃‍♀️➡️
No turkey trot here but am doing a Christmas themed 5k in December.

I went trail skating yesterday and I'm thinking it might be my last of the season. The nuts, sticks, and leaves are taking over the trail and I don't want to succumb to nut injuries.

I did a core workout tonight and day 21 (2:50) wall sit. I'm feeling good with the wall sits. Hope everyone had a good weekend!
 
Day 23, 3:10 wall sit... Not gonna lie, this one was brutal lol. I'm glad tomorrow is a quick 20 second recovery day.

Derby practice was great last night, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. 😂 I have a feeling by Thanksgiving I'll be playing with the team.

I did some skating drills at home this evening after that brutal wall sit. I am still feeling the burn lol.

That’s awesome that you are doing the wall sit and the skating. Your legs have to be getting quite the workout but also seeing some good results from it.

I dropped out of the wall sit challenge. That was brutal. I struggled to get a minute and a half. I wasn’t able to increase as rapidly as the calendar lays out. But I think it’s great that you’re still getting after it. 💪

Listening to your body is most important!

Wall sit for today is complete ✅: Day 25, 3:20. It was not at brutal as Tuesday's 3:10. Spending more time in the position is giving me time to really concentrate on weight distribution and form. We'll see how I feel about that tomorrow with 3:30. 🤣

I took a few days off but completed day 26 this morning... 4 more days!! 🥵

Derby was great last night. I skated hard and sweat even harder. I didn't feel them this morning but am starting to feel some soreness in my upper thighs from where a few teammates were gripping quite hard during a drill so I will probably have some fingerprint bruises by the end of the day.

Tonight I'm doing a full body ballet barre workout.

Today is pull day, so back abs Bi’s mostly. Yesterday was push and my shoulders are already on fire!
 
I finished the wall sit challenge today. It was anticlimactic, and it didn't feel great at the end. I guess it was a good learning experience. 🤷

Nice job Sally. I dropped out a bit ago. That one was killer.
I’m impressed you were able to stick it out and do it. Especially with skating at the same time
