I have been a bit quiet up here...
Cause, uhmm... So, that overtraining thingy tendency?
I may have to sit out for at least a week yet, got some tendonitis in my right hip.
Overtraining is bloody stupid, is what it is.
We’ve all been there, take your body’s demand for rest and get yourself back in the game with the lesson learned
Oof wall sits!! Hate them so much! But you’ve inspired me, gonna start them and add one a dayI completed day 9 of wall sits this morning at 1:20. Yesterday was more of a rest day, just two long walks with my dog. Tonight is derby practice. Happy sweating!

I'm doing a 30 day challenge right now. I'm on day 9!Oof wall sits!! Hate them so much! But you’ve inspired me, gonna start them and add one a day
Nice! I'm just doing a 30 day challenge and slowly increasing each day. I do a lot of skating and other lower body workouts with it. I'm mainly doing them to lower my stance for roller derby.Wall sits are great.
Want to lower your blood pressure? Isometric does that better than cardio or strength training.
4 sets of wall sits 3 times a week. 2 min each with 1 min rest in between will lower bp better than the bp pills.
It doesn't even need to be a "proper" wall sit where the knees are at 90 degrees. A 2 min 90 degree wall sit is very challenging and most people can't do it. I know I sure can't.
But I just adjust my depth to something more challenging when my current depth is too easy. Maybe some day I will get to 90 degrees
Thank-you!I'm doing a 30 day challenge right now. I'm on day 9!

You got this!!Thank-you!
Four minutes?!!! Okay, gonna try - may not be able to move after day six
Inspired to try wall sits. I’m down about 60 pounds, have 15-20 to go and need some strength and to ramp up activity. I walk 4+ miles a day, but my body is getting used to itAfternoon walk with the dog yesterday

I thought they were for strengthening muscles and a way for the circuit trainer to torment us. I won’t grump as much during them and planks then.Wall sits are great.

They will for sure strengthen your quads. And ummmm other areas.I thought they were for strengthening muscles and a way for the circuit trainer to torment us. I won’t grump as much during them and planks then.
Other areas? You must mean my ability to string together profanities. They will for sure strengthen your quads. And ummmm other areas.
You won't get bigger necessarily since stressing a muscle throughout it's range of motion is so much more effective at hypertrophy
I believe!Edited to say- apparently I can’t link to it after all. Nevermind. You’ll just have to believe that I did it.
It is nearly a punishment on your legs and butt for sure.I believe!
Also I wasn't familiar with wall sits until just now. I'm thrilled by wiki describing it as an "exercise or punishment"
You know what, I might jump in on this wall sit challenge as well. Sounds like fun, and we can all help keep each other to the challenge.
Yay! More wall sit buddies! We've got this everybody!Inspired to try wall sits. I’m down about 60 pounds, have 15-20 to go and need some strength and to ramp up activity. I walk 4+ miles a day, but my body is getting used to it
