I've never seen this movie, but I know about this true crime horror. The death penalty would have been a kind punishment. Instead none of them had to serve as much time as they deserved. Gertrude Baniszewski was released on parole and got to live the last five years of her miserable life outside of prison. She died of lung cancer at 61. I hope it was a painful death.Day 11: A scary movie based on a true crime
2007's The Girl Next Door (not to be confused with all of the other films by that name) is probably the most disturbing movie I have seen. Based on the novel of the same name, it is the story of a girl and her sister who are taken in after their parents' death by their aunt, who uses her sons and neighbor boys -- children-- to sexually abuse and torture them. It is unflinching horror, and a look into the depravity of human beings. I cannot suggest it. Fuck this movie.
And compared to the crime it was based on, the torture and murder of Sylvia Likens, it's a goddammed Disney movie.
The Girl Next Door
It is an absolutely beautiful mess. And this is the best superhero landing ever performed.Day 12: A movie with a vampire
Underworld is still one of my favorite vampire movies. I've never been so enamored with head-to-toe leather. Selene is so ridiculously badass.
So true, but I just love the aesthetics so that makes up for it.It is an absolutely beautiful mess. And this is the best superhero landing ever performed.
Beautiful mess is a great way to describe it. Kate Beckinsale is , but I remember the first time I tried to watch it, I got annoyed enough that I had to turn it off after only a few minutes when someone fired a gun immediately after it was immersed in water. I gave it another shot years later and was able to suspend my disbelief enough to enjoy it though. It is an absolutely beautiful mess. And this is the best superhero landing ever performed.
Researching this (because I wasn't going to watch it again as a refresher), I found this line from the novel. This is an entire chapter:I've never seen this movie, but I know about this true crime horror. The death penalty would have been a kind punishment. Instead none of them had to serve as much time as they deserved. Gertrude Baniszewski was released on parole and got to live the last five years of her miserable life outside of prison. Damn, OC. I thought I was the only one who knew about this. Now I need another movieDay 12: A movie with a vampire
The Fearless Vampire Killers (aka Dance Of The Vampires)
This flashed in my mind and i had to try and find out what it was called (it had a different title in the UK - a bit like Top/Boss Cat). Anyway, i jut remember laughing when watching it and it may have ruined me for any other vampire offering.
Iβm going to go with the second Marvel movie ever made: Blade
Of course I would pick Blade, the younger me thought he was so cool with his sword fights. And the opening sequence in the first movie in the vampire club will always stay with me
And here I was thinking I was gonna come in here and post it!Blade is probably my favorite vampire movie but it was taken. Twice.
