2024 Democratic National Convention Thread

You might want to avoid using the word "coup" as long as you support the party that gave us January 6.

But let me guess, you're not a Republican.
There was a coup Jan. 6?
I vote for the bestest candidate, don't you? :)

So then you admit Trump lied. That he would ban abortion on a federal level.

Are you drunk or just trying to hijack the DNC thread.
OK now you're being stupid!
You're the one stating with remarkable confidence that he would not do something his track record clearly indicates he would do.

He would probably say a thing like that, yes. But would it really be "the will of the people" if such a bill got through a gerrymandered House and a Senate whose majority typically represents tens of millions fewer people than the minority because Wyoming gets the same number of senators as California? No, no it would not.
more hypothetical!

Still not resolved... drunk or trolling the dnc thread. Or maybe both. Whatever.

I didn't bring up the 12 year old. Not familiar with the case. The father should be in jail and medical attention should have been given to the 12 year old. I guess that makes me a traitor???
FYI. The young lady spoke eloquently as an adult now. She was in the spotlight at the DNC and briefly explained her rape and, at twelve, was told she had options. Her point, as spoken in this thread, is that when it occurs today due to Republican actions, she would not have the same options.

Most Americans are not in support of what Republicans are forcing through state legislatures. That's the shame of such decisions; we have thrown out fifty years of progress and taken away a woman's right to determine her own destiny. Women are no longer first-class citizens. Think about that, a freedom to choose has been lost.

He shouldn't have called you "stupid",
I didn't. In fact, I said I didn't believe he could be that stupid. But maybe I was wrong.

There was a coup Jan. 6?
An attempted one, yes.
I vote for the bestest candidate, don't you? :)
Every time.

more hypothetical!
Nothing I say is any more hypothetical than what you're arguing, which is essentially that we should give Trump the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn't sign an abortion ban when every bit of evidence suggests the opposite.

He shouldn't have called you "stupid", but even a slack-jawed mouth-breathing knuckle-dragging low-IQ "perpetual victim" such as yourself should realize he's right.

Poor RDS, both visually and cerebrally impaired attempting to pass judgement on others.

Cite what state today would not administer the appropriate medical procedure for that 12 year old. I’m not watching the DNC propaganda show.

We had 50 years of incorrect rulings, now it’s fixed. If you want it to be law then it’s up to congress to legislate it into law not legislate from the bench.

TEXAS you fucking mouth-breather

We had over 240+ years of respect for judicial precedent on the Supreme Court, plus a majority of justices swore under oath that Roe v. Wade was an "established precedent". Upon gaining confirmation, though, they proceeded to cast aside the principle of "precedent" and "legislate from the bench". The six who voted for Dobbs have made a mockery of the Supreme Court and are oath-breakers. I can see why this has such appeal to a slack-jawed knuckle-dragger such as yourself.
