30 in 30 Companion Thread

I really liked the last verse of cascadiabound's aprilyn 2:21

Hold me close luv
I'm spinning into the night
No anchor but you
Hold me close luv
As I fall asleep
The moon a slim cup in the sky.

Definitely a nugget to polish

Thank you Piscator. :)

Well done, Mrtenant and Cascadia! I'm glad to have shared most of my 30/30 with you, and it will be a bit lonely in there the next few days. Some very nice writing from both of you. :)

Congrats to you Cassie and MrT! It's quite a slog isn't it, but you both have some wonderful poetry as a result and the makings of a chapbook. :rose:

I really enjoyed writing with you too. It is so much easier when you have companions ar this. It has been a pleasure to get to know your voice better. :rose:
Well done Cassie and MrT for finishing the marathon! :)

Mmm...there's an idea I hadn't thought of for all the various times I've tried to go through this.

Someone give me a shout when a new bunch of y'all are thinking of doing it, could use a jumpstart. (Not until after the 27th, though, I have to go to Atlanta next weekend.)

Thank you all. It is a bit of a marathon. I like it though and am thinking of another go. You all do quite well with it too I might add.

Especial thanks to Cascadiabound, for helping me stay focused enough to make an entry every day. I hope I was of equal help to you at least.:rose:

It's been an interesting period of time for me, and there were a few times I wasn't sure I'd get it done, but I'm glad I stuck it out. Pretty early on, I just had to decide that it didn't matter as much what I wrote, just that I wrote something. :)

I really think that is the key to the 30/30. Some days you write winners, others you write klunkers. That's ok because at the end of the process you'll not only get good poems and ideas you can flesh out into good poems, but you'll learn about poetry and your own writer's voice. To me the learning is always the exciting part. And since I see the thread primarily as a learning process I don't care about the off days I will inevitably hit. At least that's how it has worked for me. :)

Thank you! I appreciate the invitation, and I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I haven't been on. I did take a peek at what you've written there, and I enjoyed them. Perhaps I'll wonder into that thread another time. :)

Day 1

Water has a way
Of finding cracks,
Chinks in its captor
And squeezing out,
Through,
Eroding the area
And making escape
Easier with time.

So happy to see you on the 30:30 thread :rose:
Good luck on sticking with it. You are off to a good start. :)

Thank you. I’ve been looking for somewhere to motivate me to write because I feel like I’m hitting the walls of my brain at times lately. I’m looking forward to seeing how I do..

Congratulations CB & Mr. T on finishing again! I’m still reading the backlog of your poems in such awe and admiration!

:Rolls out the finish line tape:

Wraps myself up in red and purple finish line tape. :D

Thank you thank you!

Mr T and I were so happy to see you on the 30:30 thread and we are pulling for your success.
Join us on the challenge threads.... :rose:

Which reminds me....I have to post on Angeline's TYVM challenge thread. You know you can cross post between the 30:30 thread and any other poem you post elsewhere... you gotta write something tomorrow, so you might as well cross post. :)

I find the challenge threads push me to think and write about things and in forms that might not be the easiest for me....I think it has stretched me and made me a bit better. :cattail:

I am very much enjoying Moochies entrys. Today's sound of s words is sensuous in my mouth.
