Mark Halperin: Trump Will Be 'In A Lot Of Peril' When He Testifies

The Morning Joe crew was discussing the latest revelations about Trump attempts to build a Trump Tower in Russia.

"Three sources familiar with the matter say Robert Mueller and his team are keenly focused on the president's role in crafting a response to a published article about a meeting between Russians and his son, Donald Jr," Brzezinski said.

"You mean, where Trump lied? Where he drafted a statement that was a lie?" Scarborough said.

"We're headed towards the day when Robert Mueller puts Donald Trump under oath, and Donald Trump's history of testifying is to not be meticulously careful," a somber Mark Halperin said.

"I'm saying he's going to put himself under a lot of peril under extraordinarily close questioning. If this report from NBC is correct and I'm sure it is, some day, the president is going to have to testify under oath, and it's gonna be a very difficult ordeal."

I don't think Bob is going to allow Trump to side step and obfuscate, do you?:)

I don't think Bob is going to allow Trump to side step and obfuscate, do you?:)
Will we watch POTUS take the 5th repeatedly? Will POTUS declare a State of Emergency before testifying?

‘Your heart tells you that he’s bad for the country’: GOP consultants reveal how much they loathe Trump

Speaking with Vanity Fair’s David Drucker, conservative pollsters and GOP consultants privately admitted that they loathe President Donald Trump but are stuck with him and have no choice but to make the best of a bad situation.

Among the two dozen strategists and consultants who make a living advising GOP candidates, Drucker found few who like Trump because of his bombast and lack of discipline, with one frustrated consultant admitting, “From a personal standpoint, I think this president f*cking sucks. He’s not even a Republican.”

The dilemma for the consultant class is that they have to advise office-holders and potential candidates on how to shape their message when they have Trump as not only the face of the party, but as the leader of a small but rabid following.

“Your heart tells you that he’s bad for the country. Your head looks at polling data among Republican primary voters and sees how popular he is,” explained a Republican strategist who requested anonymity. “It would be malpractice not to advise clients to attach themselves to that popularity.”

One strategist said that candidates who disagree with Trump have to hold their tongues and ride the Trump wave, adding, “It’s really cynical, but so is politics.”

"He's an asshole but, he's our asshole," as has been said.

‘This is not what he signed up for’: Confidant says Trump’s mood ‘worst it’s ever been’

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has been publicly challenging the White House, but advisers say President Donald Trump can’t afford to fire him.

A source close to the president said Trump was angered that Tillerson and economic adviser Gary Cohn criticized his response to a Charlottesville white supremacist rally, but there’s not much he can do about it, reported Politico.

“I think that cuts him to the quick,” the source told the website.

Trump’s advisers don’t believe they could find a qualified candidate to replace Tillerson, who has feuded with the White House for months, because they don’t think UN Ambassador Nikki Haley is ready to take over.

“I couldn’t name you a guy who would take the job or get confirmed,” the source said.

The White House has experienced an exodus of staffers in recent weeks, although few of those positions have been filled — and, outside of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, no one seems especially eager to join the administration.

Don't you feel sorry for the Trumpster now that he's so blue? :(

No, not really, he's a DICK! :D

Arpaio says he will do ANYTHING Trump asks. He would be more than willing to replace Tillerson or anyone else.
Confirmation may be a bitch. Sen Grassley, running the appropriate subcommittee, says he's not doing any more cabinet confirmations this year.

A way around the confirmation blockade: a Prez can make recess appointments when the Senate isn't in session. Alas, they're staying in pro-forma session for he foreseeable future. What to do?

Try this ballsy move: Tromp signs an emergency executive order canceling Congress for a day, then fires his disloyal swine and appoints a bunch of loyal swine. Congress bitches that the Prez can't do that. POTUS shrugs and goes off on another golf vacation.

Trump has failed the two EASIEST things a President has to do: condemn Nazi's, and show empathy when natural disasters strike. How hard can that be?

Today he had to CAREFULLY read the Teleprompter to say "Our Hearts go Out . . . [next line] to all the people of Houston." He had to keep looking to make sure he got it right!

He was like that with the Steve Scalise shooting, too. Turns into a ROBOT when he has to show compassion and empathy FOR ANYONE OTHER THAN HIMSELF.

Meanwhile, he tweeted out a self-pitying Tweet today about Why the big bad media is so mean to him, when "all he wants to do is MAGA."

Glad to see he has time to obsess about his media coverage when HOUSTON IS DROWNING.

He is disgusting!!!

‘This isn’t the Apprentice’: GOPer lashes out at Trump bullying as shutdown looms

With congress returning from August recess, President Donald Trump’s continued bullying of Republican senators may complicate efforts to avoid a September 30 government shutdown.

“You’re not going to bully United States senators, this isn’t The Apprentice,” Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) told the Associated Press “You can’t look at them and say you’re fired, you’re going to need their vote and you oughtta remember that they’re going to be at the table in every major deal you need for the next three years.”

President Trump is further complicating matters with his demand for building his border wall.

Republican efforts to find enough border wall money to satisfy the White House are making it harder to pass a stopgap spending measure.

The House Appropriations Committee had suggested funding the border wall by taking $876 million from FEMA’s disaster relief account, but Texas Republicans are now demanding that money go to Hurricane Harvey relief.

Maybe 'next year?";)

He's trying to remove DACA, gutting 90% of Obamacare outreach, banning transgender people in the military, pardoning a trifling sheriff but claims he is the law and order president.

PUNISH PUNISH PUNISH OTHER PEOPLE IS WHAT HE DOES.

When the fuck did this country STOOP so low? This is a disgrace.

Being scared of your fellow human beings but turning around and professing to be a holier than thou CHRISTIAN? I don't get these people.

Just when you think he has hit a new low, HE breaks another record. This is mind-fucking.

How can some of you grandparents, spouses, parents, support this crap? What is wrong with you? But you HATE Obama who is the opposite of Trump in every way?

Some of you are just evil and vindictive as much as your leader is...

Notice how upset and bothered the leftist on here are about the injustice of the Trump Administration? Yet not a word about the corrupt Obama and Clinton administrations or the fact Hillary Clinton's proven crimes against not only her country, but her own party are not mentioned. I guess when it comes to demanding justice they fall of their high horse on real crimes and can only ride their jack ass with lies and fake news from outfits like MSNBC and CNN along with the other Joseph Goebbels want-a-bees.

They don't expect people to take them serious. How could anyone? It's mainly to get people's goat and they then laugh if people take them serious. The people they laugh at most are their own uneducated communists and nazi followers for they are the only fools who truly believe that everything Obama's left wingers and Clinton/Soros far right wingers say is true. The world really is flat and starts with the fake Hollywood reality shows and ends at the fake reality of the Washington Swamp. It has to be true, some blogger said so.

I'm surprised to not hear Rachel on MSNBC blaming Bush for the total eclipse. Or Gore flying his coal fueled jet blaming the moon on climate change. (Note none of these fools ever say anything against the worlds worst polluter China)

Compare Obama's first 6 months in office with Trumps and see who has done more for the American people and our allies.

You know Hillary can prove she is the best. All the info is on her bath room computer drive. Oh wait, she flushed it didn't she? Man the left really know how to make us laugh.

Trump pledged $1 million to Harvey victims — but Hurricane Sandy survivors are still waiting on 2012 pledge

"Where's the Beef?"

President Donald Trump has pledged that he will give $1 million to those survivors of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. But if past pledges are any indication, they probably shouldn’t hold their breath.

In 2012, Trump allegedly spoke to Mary Pat Christie, who headed one of the nonprofit coalitions that was working to help those in New Jersey hurt by the storm.

“And it wasn’t a long phone call,” Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) said of Trump’s pledge to his wife for Hurricane Sandy survivors in 2012. “He said, ‘Mary Pat, I like Chris, but I’m scared of you.’ He said, ‘How much does the check need to be? Just tell me and I’ll send it.’ ”

No one was able to find Trump’s donation to the fund. So, Christie jumped in to explain that it was his fault and he “misspoke.”

“The Governor misspoke this morning,” said Christie’s spokesman Brian Murray. “Mr. Trump has given to other New Jersey charities, including the Drumthwacket Foundation.”

"Where's the check, Donald?" Send an E-Mail to that effect to the White House today!:D

Trump’s son attacks CNN over Harvey donation

President Donald Trump’s son Eric made something of a Twitter blunder Thursday when he tweeted that CNN wouldn’t cover his father’s pledge to donate $1 million in aid to the victims of Hurricane Harvey three hours after the network reported the story.

““So proud!!! Let's see if @CNN or the #MSM acknowledges this incredible generosity. My guess: they won’t,” Trump tweeted, referring to the mainstream media with the hashtag “MSM.”

The White House announced that President Trump would be making the personal contribution to the relief effort, following the example of individual donations from across the United States.

"He would like to join in the efforts that a lot of people we have seen across the country do," press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters at the White House.

Sanders explained that Trump hadn’t determined which groups he wished to support, CNN reported, but asked for advice from the press corps over which groups would be worth supporting.

"He actually asked that I check with the folks in this room since you are very good at research and have been doing a lot of reporting into the groups and organizations that are best and most effective in helping and providing aid,” Sanders said.

Following the tweet by Eric Trump, CNN’s communications account corrected the 33-year-old businessman using a facepalm emoji. “You guessed wrong. We covered the pledge online and on-air well before your tweet,” the tweet that included a screen grab from the on-air report read.

Like Father, Like Son, dip shits the lot of them!:)

Defense Secretary James Mattis says he serves Trump because it is a call of duty — not a choice

Defense Secretary James Mattis has revealed candid information about his relationship with President Donald Trump, with whom he has had some notable disagreements, saying he saw his service as a call of duty, not of choice.

Mattis entered the Pentagon's press bullpen by surprise Thursday, telling reporters that he felt more comfortable speaking to them there than behind the podium. The retired Marine general dismissed claims that he had contradicted Trump on Wednesday by saying diplomatic solutions were possible with nuclear-armed North Korea shortly after the president said talks were out.

Thank you General, somebody has to keep him from blowing up the world!

WH budget director boasts of tricking Trump into slashing disability benefits by calling it ‘welfare’

President Donald Trump vowed throughout the 2016 presidential campaign that he would not cut Social Security or Medicare.

Despite this, however, the president’s proposed budget featured a massive $70 billion cut in Social Security disability benefits over the span of a decade.

A Politico profile of White House Budget Director Mick Mulvaney reveals exactly how this happened — essentially, Mulvaney tricked Trump into agreeing to disabilities benefits cuts by calling it a “welfare” program.

Earlier this year, Mulvaney tried to get Trump to agree to cuts in Social Security and Medicare, but the president wouldn’t budge. Then he brought up disabilities benefits, which piqued Trump’s interest.

“Tell me about that,” Trump said.

“It’s welfare,” Mulvaney said.

“OK, we can fix welfare,” Trump declared.

How about the Corporate Welfare cuts? Maybe if the big Corp's had to pay their full taxes it might pay down the National Debt? Just a thought.;)

‘He won’t abide such treatment’: Gen. Kelly said ‘nobody has spoken to him’ like Trump in his 35-year career

During a recent “dressing down” by President Donald Trump, new White House Chief of Staff John Kelly told aides that he’s never been spoken to like that in his whole military career.

According to a report by the New York Times, Kelly reportedly told sources close to a fight between the president and his chief of staff in August that he won’t tolerate such behavior again.

After lashing out at Kelly when staffers “gently suggested [Trump] refrain from injecting politics into day-to-day issues of governing after last month’s raucous rally in Arizona,” he lashed at Kelly, who happened to be “the most senior aide in his presence.”

Kelly “reacted calmly, but he later told other White House staff members that he had never been spoken to like that during 35 years of serving his country,” three sources close to the fight told the Times. “In the future, he said, he would not abide such treatment.”

Dumb Donald, very very dumb.:D

Yep, I'd think Kelly (and Trump) realize that Kelly could just tell Trump to shut the fuck up or Kelly will take a walk, and either way that went would be suicide for Trump.

This is fucking delicious! :D

Law prof explains legal reasoning why Trump’s new memo puts Mike Pence ‘in legal jeopardy’ for impeachment

Fordham University Law professor Jed Shugerman made one of the most damning case against Vice President Mike Pence for being involved in obstruction of justice.

The New York Times and Washington Post both broke stories about the original memo that President Donald Trump authored during a rainy day that would ultimately fire former FBI Director James Comey.

Shugerman told MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell that the biggest name that has been associated with this memo and this conversation is Pence.

“Let me explain why this timeline puts him in legal jeopardy,” Shugerman began. “So, we know that this letter was drafted on one day, and then after Steven Miller came back with that draft, it was read in a room of people, including Vice President Pence. And when that letter was read, it had, quote, The New York Times talks about a screed, and it identified all of these other connections to the Russian probe for why Trump had decided to fire Jim Comey. Then after this letter is edited, Mike Pence then tells the media that the Comey firing was not connected to the Russian probe, and he said it was due to Rod Rosenstein’s recommendation. Those statements are untrue.”

He explained that because Pence heard the first letter and the second letter and lied about it, it now “implicates Mike Pence now in a combination of conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting obstruction of justice, and also a relatively less known felony called misprision of a felony.”

So in short by Pense lying about the lying liars who were lying about not lying, in the attempt to distance himself from the insanity of the President who was elected while attempting to help a Russian Tyrant recover the money he was laundering in the Trumpsters real estate swindles, Pence has "Your Fired", Himself!

I love it when a dip shit steps on his own dick, with track shoes!:D:D:D

And so ends the 32nd weak of the Dip Shit Donald. My fucking god could it get any crazier?

Yes, and it will.

Notice how all the acting out and insanity and self-destruction has gotten WORSE with General Kelly.

Trump can't STAND this. Reminds him of how his parents sent him to military school.

He will continue to act out in worse ways until Kelly quits.

And so ends the 32nd weak of the Dip Shit Donald. My fucking god could it get any crazier?
