A Killing in Germany

I am not referring to the three boys that killed their sister. I am referring to the three school boys that cheered about the killing and said they found it right. I guess they still don't have much honour for thinking the girl deserved to get killed (though one also has to keep in mind that teenage boys say all kinds of stupid stuff just to get attention) - as little as in my opinion someone who thinks anybody deserves to rot in hell forever.

Munachi,

None of them have honor, either the three who killed their sister, or the ones who cheered about it.

Quite a similar attitude to that of those three cheering boys.

(I do NOT agree with honor killings or the surpression of women at all - but what I agree even less with is any kind of revengeous feelings or happyness of someone else`s bad fate.)

A thread was posted. I voiced my opinion on the thread. You, voiced your opinion of me. In deference to the subject matter, I refrained from replying. Yet you continue to attack me.

I probably shouldn't point out that one has to wonder about the self proclaimed honor or integrity of someone who attacks a complete stranger for voicing an opinion. Especially when the person attacked didn't respond so you continued. But I will point it out, just the same.

colly, i've always never thought of you as particularly revengeous.

most of us have no trouble envisioning mayhem for certain criminals.

Thanks J.

I have brothers, I can feel so very much for that young woman. I just can't fathom how awful her final seconds must have been as her own kin, the people you should be able to count on in any difficulty, shot her to death.

When confronted with events like this, I try to remember Matthewson's 23rd Edict from The Book of Universal Truths and Other Humourous Anecdotes.

To be angered by evil is to partake of it, stupid.
;)

Sickened by what these monsters did. Punish them to the fullest extent of the law. Educate the rest that we don't do things like that here.

If we let fury rule our actions, the day will soon come when we are like our enemies.

it wasn't proposed to lynch the buggers, and certainly the Germans aren't doing so, afaik.
just that they get their tootsies roasted in hell (allowing oneself that old Christian place of God's wrath).

what really pisses me off, is this "have the youngest brother do the act, or at least confess to it, since he'll get only 10 years." that loophole should be plugged. for example, if it's clear the youngest, an adult, acted in complicity with the family, or on behalf of the familly or that they knew of his plans and did nothing, then he gets an extra 10. And if Dad or Mom clearly ordered the 'hit', they go down for 20, also. The alleged breach of family honor has turned this family into a calculating bunch of cowards with lethal intentions.

I am sorry for attacking you. I read my posts again, and yes, you are right, I guess I did instead of just pointing out what I wanted to point out - that just in general, while there should be laws and lawful punishments, none of those should have the feeling of revenge or happyness about the suffering of others in them - because that just holds too much danger of escalation. But it is true, what you said was a quite common thing to say, in other occasions I have said similar things, and I should have just said my opinion instead of reacting the way I did. Sorry.

Apology accepted. I offer my own if my comments upset you, that was not their intent.

Conspiracy to commit murder. It should be applied to the whole kit & kaboodle.
